  • Too bad you didn't live nearby we could be walking  buddies!

  • Try excercise classes like Zumba!   They are a lot of fun and you actually want to work out.

  • Similar issues here! I'm a little busty and seriously hippie and butty (haha), so I'll never be waifish. I'm looking to lose about 15 lbs before the wedding... but I lack the time, energy, and motivation to work out. Loading up on delicious healthy snacks has helped me (apples, pineapples, mangos, nuts, veggies, etc)... I try to eat 5 or 6 small "meals" a day instead of 2 or 3 substancial ones. I also make a conscious effort to drink lots of water and NOT drink my calories (seriously limiting my wine intake and putting only one tsp of sugar in my black coffee). My fiance and I have started running together. I'm also trying to wake up 30 minutes early at least three times a week to stretch, do crunches, and light weight lifting. I feel so energized and awake after that... the only problem is the ACTUALLY getting out of bed part :o)

    Good luck!

  • I had the same starting stats as you did! I have been weightlifting since January. I love it. Everything is getting sucked in, and it takes out all of my aggressions.

  • If you join a gym--even just a month's membership--you might feel like you actually need to go to get your money's worth:) Also, I just bought the dvd Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training (with trainer Jackie Warner) and it's AWESOME!! It's a bunch of toning stuff (um...hello wedding arms!) that's divided into 15 minute sessions per target area or a 40 minute overall workout. Fifteen minutes hardly even seems like a time commitment but I definitely feel it! You don't need more than 5 lb weights, and if you're like me, you can just use cans or bottles from the pantry. Good luck!
  • Have you checked out bodyrock.tv or looked up zwow on youtube? Exercises range from 10-30 minutes and are really good at getting your heart rate up.  The photos/videos zoom in on a lot of boobs and butts, but if you get past that, they are good for people who "don't have time" to work out. I can definitely see a difference in my thighs!
