Workout Accountability: Wednesday

Good morning ladies!  

I am so sore today!  Luckily today is a rest day.  I did zumba (only because  spin was cancelled at the last minte-- I am not coordinated enough for zumba) and ten I did my Body works class.  A good two hour workout. 

This morning I will be walking my dog for about half an hour just to get the legs moving.

    Your post just reminded me that it was only Wednesday, and I had a quick slip where I thought it was Thursday, so now I'm sad.  Thanks for that.

    FI and I both hit the gym this AM, and I got a pretty decent weight workout in while he ran.  We'll be taking the dog for a long walk tonight, too.  Tomorrow morning I'll go for a run before work.

  • Well I bought new running shoes on Sunday and have been suffering from food poisoning since Monday.  Today I feel semi-normal but rice is about all I can eat.  Way to kick start my diet, huh?  Seeing as I was winded just from the walk into work I probably will NOT be going to the gym or I will be doing very limited exercise.  Hopefully I can feel back to normal soon so I can test out my Mizuno Wave Riders :)
  • I have 4 miles on schedule for this afternoon! The weather has been so nice I am super pumped!

    Yesterday FI got me an armband for my iphone to run with, but it is so freaking huge and bulky that I kind of hate it. I like to listen to the Pandora workout mix and use Nike + to track my runs so having the phone with me is great- anyone found a less enormous armband for their iphone?? Now that it is warmer out I don't have pockets to keep it in!

    I ran 3 miles after work last night, and it was my first sub 24 minute 3 miles in a loooong time.  I went to spin class this morning and I pretty much take it easy the rest of the week.  I might do a slow, easy 2 miles Friday but that's about it.  Marathon is this weekend!!

    We are back to normal today after state testing on Monday and Tuesday. It's nice to be back in the classroom. We have shortened periods today, though, and this is my lunch period. 9 am--nice, huh?

    Last night I did W4D2 of C25K. I "sprinted" the last minute of the run (aka 10 minute mile which feels CRAZY fast to me). I can't believe I am 4 weeks into this program. I am surprising myself.

    Tonight I have to be here late, waiting for a photographer to finish up some spring sports photos. (I am the yearbook adviser and our deadline is very soon). I'll probably do a JM workout--maybe Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism or the 6-week 6-pack when I get home.

  • This morning I lifted chest & back.  No cardio this morning since I had to be at work early, but I plan on meeting up with my friend for a zumba class tonight.  I really can only do zumba about once a week or else my shins kill me.  Tomorrow morning I'll be back to my normal cardio, which is spinning.  
  • Got 10 minutes on the stairmaster, 40 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on weights last night. Felt like a great workout!

    I might use tonight as a rest night and get some stuff done that's been sitting around (for the first time in my life I've been prioritizing working out over EVERYTHING else and thus I have lots of things to catch up on)

  • I did BBL Sculpt last night (day 3 of classic program).  I'm undecided as to whether or not I will go to Zumba with FSILs tonight, or do house stuff until toddler bedtime and then BBL on my own turf.

  • Got a good walk up a hill this morning! It felt so good to be able to get to the top! 3rd day in a row, but need to keep it up and add more miles to me walking routine. Next week starting Yoga classes with a good friend. I just hope we can stick to the classes, sometimes our crazy lifes get in the way.
  • Sorry Lobster for bringing you back a day!  I wish it was Thursday, or atleast Friday!!  haha.

    lbarr- I hope you feel better! I had food poisoning right before Christmas it was AWFUL so I know how you feel, but I haven't had a craving for Chinese food since then!
    Anyway, I'm new to this board so hello- I went to Zumba for 1 hour last night, I hope to get a walk in after dinner tonight.

    I lifted last night and increased reps on most of my lifts and then put in 40 minutes on the elliptical an did abs and pushups.

    Tonight I'm running, outside! Pretty excited to say that, especially since my attempt was thwarted on Monday.

  • Yesterday I did day 3 of week 5 for C25K, and I actually DID it! That was a 20 minute jog! I am so impressed with myself.

    Later on in the evening the family did 30DS (day 4 for us) - it's starting to get easier, thank god!

    Unfortunately today my knees are killing me. They don't bother me when I'm walking straight, but it seems to be if I turn a corner or stand with a wide stance they hurt... I think it's from the jumping jacks, this body just isn't used to that! Looks like I'm in for some icing tonight.

  • Happy Wednesday!

    This week has been all about getting back on track. I started feeling under the weather yesterday, which might have been caused by the lack of sleep from some pretty late nights writing, so I took yesterday off from everything - workout, work, research, unpacking/organizing in the new house - and just rested. I feel better today and will go to the gym in a few minutes to do W2D2 of C25K and a 30-minute circuit. Will report back in an hour or so if I did in fact make it. :-)

    Diet has also been a little inconsistent this week. It's weird. Whenever I'm studying or reading/writing I: 1) don't feel like cooking, 2) want to snack often and 3) crave carby salty things like pretzels and chips. I did manage to find some popcorn in our kitchen and made that for those snack times. I'm just glad the toughest part of the dissertation process is over and I can get back to working out/eating right.

  • Just did Insanity, and H and I are going to go for a walk when he gets home in 20 minutes.  It's so nice out.  We walked for 90 minutes last night.

  • I got done with my internship early and went for a 2 mile run. After class I did JM 30day shred level one and began level two but my shoulders were killing me. I overindulged in some girl scout cookies last night so I am hoping to get back on track after that. Should be done early at my internship tomorrow night and head to the gym for a workout class.
