Save the Dates

there might be a post about this recently but I am too lazy to look through all of them haha! How early should you send out the save the dates for a wedding?? the big day is May 7th and I have only been engaged for about a week haha but I don't know when most people typically send their Save the Dates.......sorry I couldn't stand to use the acronym it just is it too weird for me saying when did y'all give your std's lol

If you have your heart set on them,I would send them out ASAP.  I got married on May 9th and we were engaged for exactly 6 months and we decided not to because we were going to be sending out invitations a little after that.  Also, that's Mother's Day weekend this year.  I would send out my invitations a little early so that people can make their plans.

One more thing:  if you haven't already booked your florist (and a couple of other vendors), I would do that ASAP.  You're going to run into some florists who will turn you down for that weekend since it is Mother's Day.

yeah we are getting everything done as fast as we possibly can, it hasn't been a whole week and we have the church, reception site, all the bridal party, we go cake tasting this weekend and have started looking into the florists, we have a dj, and some other things that would make this message really long if i typed it lol, but thank you for giving me the idea of sending the invites out a little early since it is mothers day weekend, i would not have thought of that

No problem.  The only reason I got my florist on Mother's Day weekend is because I've worked with her before and my order wasn't insanely crazy.  However, she turned every other bride away for that weekend.  Congratulations to you for moving so quickly!

we are hoping that maybe we will be able to get a local florist who has done pretty much every event my mom has put on whether it was personal or work related, if not then i might be making flowers out of paper as a last resort haha

If your mom has a good working relationship with her, then I'm willing to bet that she'll do it for you.

STD was weird for me too, but now I'm very used to it.

If you're date is May, then send them out now.  If you don't, that's okay. STDs aren't super imperative.

Do you have a ton of OOT guests?  If not, you can skip them.  My wedding was in October and I think I sent my out end of March, beginning of April.
