Wedding Venues

I'm in the Fort Worth Area looking for the best venue for our budget I want the ceremony and reception all at the site. Outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. My issue? I have no clue what I'm doing, I'm also a military bride and he is deployed we have 30 days of leave from sept1st 2013 to sept 30th and then were off to japan for 3 years!!!! I'm trying to keep to our dream wedding without over spending. I've looked at fairytale manor online and it seems like a good deal. I'm also wanting to hear from other budget brides and military brides in my area about good package deals and military discounts etc..  Thank you

Adrian

Re: Wedding Venues

  • What is your budget for a venue? How many guests are you wanting to invite? Do you want to be in Fort Worth, or are you flexible in the DFW area?
Do you want an outside caterer or a caterer included with the venue?
Just some things to think about, and we can definitely narrow it down for you.
  • If you are having a smaller wedding in Dallas check out Avanti fountain place. Outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, and awesome food! They are very easy to work with too! We are having ours on a Sunday in a couple of weeks, which brings down the f&b minimum. Good luck!
  • Our budget is 10,000 for the entire ceremony, reception, food beverages and decorations. I'm trying to do a lot of diy stuff but I'm working three jobs right now and raising my sister's children so things are a little hectic. Our guest list is 150 people but probably wont be more than 100 that show.I'd like to stay under 4,000 for the venue if possible but I don't want anything tacky either. I'm so confused about what I'm doing. Should I get a wedding planner? Is that even possible with my budget? We can't spend much because were moving to Japan at the end of september... Can you see the dillema? We want an evening wedding a sunday may have to be done to cut cost. I just don't want us to spend money unless we are gettting what we want. I'm so lost!!!!

  • My venue, El Fenix downtown Dallas location would fit your budget and needs. We paid just over $3600 for our ceremony and reception which included tables, chairs, linens, staff, food, and unlimited alcohol for 3 hours. I got married outside on the El Fenix rooftop terrace, and our reception was indoors (although we did most of our dancing outside). The food was awesome and the drinks were strong. They also included security at no cost to me. I had all day to set up. We had about 100 guests.

You can get by without a coordinator, but I would highly recommend hiring at least a DOC.

If you are open to Dallas, The Filter Building may be another choice if you do a more cost effective caterer (like BBQ- I LOVE Mike Anderson's).
The options I listed previously fit within your budget and guest list.

Don't stress. These boards are great for budget friendly recommendations.

P.S. My best friend and her husband were deployed to Fussa Tokyo four days after my wedding. It can be done :)
