Anyone have good tips for getting rid of belly fat? Great exercises, specific foods to stay away from?

  • There is actually a great book called the flat belly diet- it tells you to eat small portions of "good fats" like avocado, olive oil, almonds, etc at every meal since they actually fight against belly fat.  Have you tried incorporating those into your diet?

  • You can't really spot reduce, but I've heard that food is most important for the belly fat. I've cut out things like pop, cut back on sugar and sodium, drank more water and did a combo of cardio and ab exercises and I've seen a difference. Couldn't tell you which specific thing worked best though! Everyone is different but maybe those are some things you can try.

  • I didn't get my abs to show through until I fixed my diet. Diet diet diet (not dietING, just a good, clean diet)
  • I would highly recommend the Flat Belly Diet. It's based on eating monounsaturated fats, like dark chocolate, nuts, and avocado. I did this diet several years ago, and I lost 10lbs in a month without any exercise. Good luck!
  • I appreciate these tips, ladies! I have been drinking way too much pop lately. Even though it's diet, I know it's still probably an issue. Here's to cutting back/going pop free! :-)

Unfortunately, there's no way to lose weight in one specific place. You can however, reduce bloating by decreasing your salty foods intake, carbonated beverages, and gas forming foods like cabbage and some beans.

    Good luck!
