Need help

I need a little help figuring out what would be best. We are on a tight budget so therefore, I'm not buying a big fancy wedding cake. I want to do either cupcakes on a cupcake stand of just a sheet cake that is decorated for a wedding. Which one would you guys suggest? I'm going to need about 60 cupcakes  if i go with them.

I was recently at a wedding and she did cupcakes. But she also had the little tier that they cut into. Also, you could do 1 layer to cut into but the rest could be dummy layers and serve sheet cake to the guest. That way you still have the look of a big fancy cake but not paying for it.

I too don't want to spend money on the cake.  Depending on where you are having your wedding you can just have them maybe put something together like a small pastry tower.  I also have heard of an ice cream table,  I don't know how much it is but you get the ice cream on a stick.  then your guests dip it in chocolate and dip it again with sprinkles or something.  I like the idea of cupcakes too.

I would go with the cupcakes. My cousin did cupcakes at her wedding and it was cool because they were able to use lots of different flavors.

My vote is for cupcakes too!

If you are really on a tight budget here is what I would recommend:

Buy a really small cake for you and your FI to cut into and feed to each other and then use the cupcakes as centerpieces

Obviously not that exactly but something like those to give you an idea. Or you could even put the cupcakes into containers and then use the containers as centerpieces.

I would be sure to check the price of the cupcakes.  Usually they're just about the same price as a cake would be.
