Getting in Shape

Wednesday Accountability

Morning everyone! I'm still feeling the effects of Halloween candy binging (and getting nervous about being ready for the marathon I'm running in two and a half weeks) so I'm really trying to make an effort to eat more clean.

B: shredded oats, milk, apple
S: yogurt
L: lean cuisine (not great, but I'm working 9am-11pm today, so this is easiest to bring along)
S: banana, almonds
D: salad, cottage cheese

Does anyone have any good crockpot recipes that are easy to freeze and thaw later? I live by myself during the week, so I don't want what I make to go bad in the fridge, but I'd love to make something "real" for dinner/lunches.

  • Good Morning! I can't wait for this week to be over!

    B- egg subsitute, turkey sausage and a little bit of cheese (hungry this morning!)
    S- baby carrots, string cheese
    L- mini cheeseburger, child size mac and cheese (not the best but craving mac and cheese)
    S- fake apple pie (apple, no cal sweetner and cinnimon mixed and microwaved till apples are soft. so good my new fav snack and so better calorie wise than the real thing)
    D- idk yet, most likely a healthy choice meal (I hate cooking just for me!)

    E- rest day- my whole body is sore, I think I am catching something.
  • katetw, a big pot of chili with lots of veggies goes a long way for lunch/dinner.  I'll come back and add some links in later!

    B: overnight oats w/ chocolate protein powder, almond butter and 1/2 banana, coffee w/ skim milk
    S: pear and string cheese
    L: leftover chili.  the last one, for real this time, 1, maybe 2 slices of flax bread, toasted
    S: apple and cashews
    D: Was supposed to be leftover stew, but, well, we ate it all, so, egg sandwiches

    E: FBB Define Yourself Phase, Workout B4
    PW: protein shake w/ chocolate protein powder, frozen raspberries and milk

  • I need this week over right now. I need it to be Friday and I need FI to be here. :(

    B - oatmeal with banana and blueberries + coffee
    S - pretzels and hummus
    L - spinach salad w/ black beans, chickpeas, red bell pepper, hard boiled egg, broccoli slaw and balsamic dressing
    S - honeycrisp apple
    D - something of the edible variety. NOT  a lean cuisine.

    E - gonna do the run I was suppose to do yesterday (yeah I weenied out)

    B- Rye Toast with Egg and 2 Egg Whites with small amount
           mozzarella shredded cheese

    S- Orange

    L- Hungry Girl Chicken.. basically chicken breaded with fiber one
            on a whole wheat pita with lettuce and olive oil and mozzarella cheese

    S- Prunes

    D-  Turkey Chili with Swiss Chard and Butternut Squash added in.

    Exercise- 15 minutes of kickboxing and a 3 mile walk (30 minutes)
                      probably another kickboxing video on demand to get in a few more minutes of cardio in

  • Morning everybody! Took the day off yesterday (H works for a union so doesn't work on Election Day) so we went up to the outlets and walked around for a while. Felt nice to be outside for most of the day for a change :)

    B - mocha coffe w/ 1/2 T fr vanilla creamer, 2 multigrain waffles w/ 1 T natural PB
    S - banana
    L - 4 slices chicken breast on lavash wrap w/ LC wedge, spinach, tomato and 1t olive oil reduced fat mayo
    S - baby carrots w/ 1 T 1/3 LF veggie cream cheese
    D - shrimp tempura sushi
    S - cocoa roasted almonds

    E - AM killer abs x 3; 1.5-2 mi run at lunch (want to be able to run a 5k by Christmas); 1 hr. Zumba class after dinner

  • Morning....Im home feeling like crap today so we'll see how it goes, thankfully I made a big pot of turkey soup last night..
    B- 2 slices light wheat toast, natural pb, tea
    L- turkey soup
    D-???? probably something chicken.......Ill think of something while on the couch today

    E- none, trying to rest up so Im able to go to kickboxing tomorrow

    S: fat free vanilla yogurt with granola and grapes
    L: spinach, egg and rice casserole leftovers
    S: granola bar
    D: TBD, either casserole leftovers or a turkey thinwich with steamed veggies

    E: I have been slacking BIG TIME on the exercising... stupid cold. I'm hoping to put in 45-60 minutes of zumba

    B- Spinach, artichoke, chicken Lean Pocket (bad, I know)
    L- Whole wheat bagel with light mayo, turkey, tomatoes and artichokes
    S- Mini bag of kettle corn
    D- Vegetarian chili! Mmm. =)

    E- 30 minutes elliptical, 30 crunches, 30 push-ups

    Hello! Newbie here! (yes, i started a wednesday newbie thread and such).  Here's what i've got going on for today:

    B: 1 slice of whole wheat bread (the crunchy type, not the stone ground aka brown white bread) with only enough peanut butter to taste (this is a regular breakfast for me since i usually start work around 6am so i need something quick and filling.) and a small glass of non-fat milk
    S: Frozen grapes (yeah...it's supposed to get up into the 90's today)
    L: unsure, maybe a BLTA on whole wheat bread with olive oil reduced fat mayo and a salad (lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, olives, avocado, and garlic)
    S: probably 100 calorie pack
    D: it's wednesday, which means dinners are insane.  my parents, sister, brother (their husband/wife and kids) and me and my FI (?? not sure exactly what FI means yet, but i assume it's Fiancee?) and we take turns making dinner.  since it's supposed to be incredibly hot, i am going to make a summer bbq dinner.  Hotdogs (turkey) hamburgers (garden burger for me!) and a spaghetti salad (MY FAVOURITE) which includes, bell peppers, onions, tomato, and cucumber.

    E: i walked 2 miles today!!! *Dances*  and i carried a 5 pound weight with me.  I live in a VERY hilly area, so everywhere i go there are hill to climb.  Took me 34 minutes today! :D

    EDIT: 30 minutes of wii fit yoga! :D

    Sorry if this is too detailed...i enjoy talking...aannddd i'm new...i blame the new-ness! :D

    B - Quaker Square Cereal with low fat milk and strawberries
    S - Apples and PB
    L - Turkey Wrap, loaded with veggies
    S - Crunchmaster Crackers and Alloutte Brie Spread
    D - Not sure yet.. Need to go to the store

    E - 2 Mile run to the Gym (Rained last night.. so, I did not make the run) and 60 minute Fit Yoga Class
