Workout Accountability: Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Yesterday I forgot workout shorts in my gym bag, so all I had were my super baggy sweatpants.  Awesome.  I biked for 30 minutes and then walked on an incline for 30 minutes and then did some ab exercises.

Skipping the gym tonight for a date with FI.  We're ordering in Indian food from our favorite place.  Anyone else have cute/fun plans?

    Yesterday I had horrible stomach pains in the afternoon until late evening so my plans for lifting at the gym didn't happen.  Tonight (if my stomach behaves throughout the day) FI and I will go to the gym for a quick sesh.  We have dinner reservations so if I get home early enough we will be able to do the gym and get ready in time.

  • I ran 4miles last night, and lifted this morning, and decided to do a quick 3 miles on the treadmill to get it out of the way so I have have a hot date tonight :)  I went up weights today, so I'm definitely feeling it, and I very rarely (read: never) only have 12 hours between runs.  Tomorrow will be a spin class at most- I gotta rest these legs!

  • Happy Valentine's Day guys! I went to spin this morning. The instructor actually had music with words! But I think it was only in honor of V-Day since they were all songs related to love. My friend and I both mentioned to her how much we liked the music today and felt we got a better work out because of it. I hope she starts doing more stuff like that. FI and I aren't really into V-Day. We got eachother very small gifts and will exchange tonight when we get home from work. No dinner plans as I wasn't about to deal with the crowds. We will be cooking dinner together :) I hope you all enjoy the day with your FI's!

  • I'm about to go do Insanity.  I don't want to, because I have a sore throat and a stuffy nose, but other than that I feel fine, so it's just an excuse ;)

  • Last night was my rest night, but I ended up going on a 45min walk with a friend.  I was glad to do something productive when I wasn't planning on it.  Also, I think the walking helped get rid of some of the soreness in my legs.  I'm not sure what is on the schedule for tonight, but I'm excited to continue this program.

    Today I'm going to my circuit workout class. FI is the head Varsity wrestling coach and February is such a busy month for them so they've got a long practice tonight so we're not doing anything special for V-Day. He's gone this weekend at State so maybe we'll celebrate on Sunday. Have fun to all those that have plans :)

    Sometimes I randomly get weird cold symptoms for a day or two and then they just go away.  I think working in residential treatment for awhile really kicked up my immune system, because I used to get sick ALL THE TIME.  (knock on wood!)

    So I was more tired than I thought, so I pretty much half assed my workout today because I just felt sort of slow and sluggish, but I do feel a bit better now that I've gotten moving a bit.  6 day a week workouts are not really for me--I don't think I'll be sticking to that schedule after I'm done with Insanity ;)

  • I'm moving into Phase 3 of The New Rules of Weightlifting for Women!  I'm excited, I love starting new workouts.  I would much rather go home right after work but this ass isn't going to get smaller just sitting on it hahaha :)  Happy Vday to you all (even though I think it's a stupid holiday haha)

  • Tonight FI and I have dinner reservations, but we plan on going to the gym before or after. I have to AW for a minute: I set a goal of losing 5 pounds a month until I go dress shopping. My first month is up tomorrow and I have lost the 5 pounds :) I am so excited.

  • 40 minutes on the elliptical last night and then I went crazy with weightlifting and did 35-40 minutes of weight lifting on 7 different machines, upping the weight on most of them too! I thought I would be sore today from all of that but thankfully I'm not :)

  • Happy Valentine's Day! I got some sweet Valentines from my students along with a boat load of candy! I've managed to only eat one tootsie pop, two Starbursts, and a small chocolate chip cookie.

    We went out for dinner on Saturday night, so I am just cooking lasagna roll-ups from Skinny Taste tonight.

    Before dinner, however, I am doing Zumba and my last day of Week Two Ripped in 30. I can't believe I'll be on Week Three already tomorrow!

    No plans for V-Day tonight because I have class but we are going out to a late lunch and to the beach tomorrow when I get home from teaching in the morning! 
  • My fun Valentine's Day date is going to the gym.  I'm in NJ monday-friday, and I"ll be seeing him this weekend.  I did take off a day of my internship to spend Monday with him.  So tonight, just getting a hard workout in since I had class all weekend. 
    Will be running and biking, (30 min each) and then doing Body Works class =) I have avoided all chocolate besides two Hershey Kisses.  =)

    P.S.  Jealous of all of you who get to spend vday with your fiances.  We have yet to spend one together. =(
  • @Pburke FI and I are long distance, we have yet to celebrate a Valentine's day together in person in 4 years, so I feel ya. Hopefully you'll get to see each other soon!

  • This morning I did a 30 minute hills workout on the back and then 30 min of abs and shoulders.  I'm not a big believer in V-Day, so my SO and I will probably just stay home and watch a movie.
