Getting in Shape

No results

Ive been working out for some time now and i havent lost ANY weight! Im trying to become more fit and toned but i still have alot of fat on me, especially around my belly. In the morning my tummy looks fine but throughout the day i become bloated and i cant stop it. I drink alot of water and i workout often but even when i workout i seem to get even MORE bloated!! What can i do to see my tummy shrink and get more toned along with the rest of my body....

...oh and another problem im having is i keep loosing my breast size and its bumming me out, i went from a 34C to a 34B :(

Re: No results

  • In my experience, I didn't see ANY difference until I changed my diet.
Also, my boobs are always the first part to shrink  (GRR)
  • Do you eat a lot of fiber? That could cause a lot of belly bloat. After I eat an apple (which has only like, 4 grams of fiber) I bloat up like crazy!!! Other than that, I don't know what would cause the bloating. Keep working out, and yes boobs go first :(  You might need to change your diet. I started eating smaller portions and that is what finally helped me.
  • You can't outwork a bad diet.  I'd start tracking your calories and seeing how much you truly are eating in a day vs. how much you should be eating in a day.

It was a shocking experience when I first did it because I would have said "But, I eat rather healthy!"
  • I agree with what everyone else has said.  I started out trying to lose weight and tone up with exercise alone.  It didn't work at all!  I didn't start seeing any results until I started tracking what I was eating and sticking to a certain calorie intake.  Not sure what's causing the bloat, but likely its something in your diet.  Trying tracking your food intake for a while and see if you can make some changes there.  Good luck!

  • The two saings "You can't out-train a bad diet" and "Abs are made in the kitchen" really are true.

For the most part, you can't "spot reduce" fat, but belly fat is a bit of an exception.  Many people have seen that a diet low in processed foods helps to reduce belly fat.  So, in addition to tracking (and weighing/measuring) your food to see exactly what you're eating, look into "clean" eating.

  • Thanks everyone. I havent tracked what im eating yet but i do eat alot of fiber...mostly cereal and fruit and stuff. I try to eat right but it is difficult, i just need some motivation maybe post a picture of angelina jolie up lol...or that might make me jealous! :P

What are foods i should stay away from? Like breads, TOO much water, etc?

  • I stopped using artificial sweeteners. Like crystal light drink mixes, splenda, low-cal yogurt... those kinds of things. Once I stopped using them and avoided them in my food, my 'belly bloat' went down considerably.

    Good Luck!!
