advocare question

My cousin sells advocare, as in the 24 day advocare challenge. Has anyone tried it? I am coonsidering doing it, but I'm afraid I would put all the weight back on.

Re: advocare question

  • I don't know what it is, but you are more than likely correct. Most of those programs are gimmicks just intended to take your money.

If you really want to lose weight and keep it off, change your lifestyle. Exercise regularly and eat a healthy well-balanced diet. If you have a lot of weight to lose you could try calorie counting on a site like myfitnesspal.com (GREAT resource).

Weight loss is hard work and it takes time. You didn't put the weight on overnight and you certainly won't lose it overnight.

  • I actually did a 10 day Herbal Cleanse in October and just did another starting Jan 7th.  I have lost 20 pounds since October.  The Cleanse is a truly gentle cleanse (won't make you have crazy bowel problems) and during this 10 days you avoid grains, dairy, red meat, soda and alcohol.  The cleanse isn't very expensive and it is only recommended every 90 days.  Of course they would love you to buy the add on products but you can truly get buy with your own hard work and with your own discipline - I feel the cleanse rids your body of toxins and gets it rejuvenated and ready to respond to diet and excercise.  Good luck in whatever you decide.
  • I am actually on it now, I just finished my 24 day challenge. It actually teaches you healthy eating habits. I have lost 12 punds and 25.75 inches total. But diets work different for everyone. You really got to find a program that you can stick with. Advocare has been working for me because my coach (the person you sign up with it your coach who helps along the way) helped me find healthy alternatives. I hope this helps!
