What do you snack on?

So I'm decent with meals - chicken, veggies, salad, etc.... It's the snacking that gets me! What is everyone snacking on?

Re: What do you snack on?

  • this is asked A LOT. you can search "snacks" at the bottom and a bunch of threads will pop up, or you can manually search and see a bunch. Any threads about meal plans will also have snacks included for ideas.
  • Carrots & Hummus
    Peppers & Hummus
    Blueberries
    Raspberries
    Peaches
    Nectarines
Pretty much any kind of fruit, haha
    Nuts: Walnuts, almonds

  • I love yogurt, almonds and fruit. Other than that, my snacks are junk lol! I'm trying to figure out what else to snack on as well.
  • Plums, raisins and almonds, cereal, 2% cheese sticks, and fiber one bars

  • fruit!  in the summer i've been liking those edy's "whole fruit" popsicles...the coconut ones are my fave, but the strawberry and mango are much lower cal and also really tasty.
  • Some things that I try to keep handy are raisins (the small 45 cal packs, I eat 2 of them usually), 100 cal chewy granola bars--they are sweet and delicious and I can't give them up. I also do apples with peanut butter, frozen grapes are THE BEST snack ever because they are like popsicles and only 52 calories for .5 a cup!

I also LOVE Honey Wheat pretzel sticks, you can eat 10 of them for 110 calories. 60 calorie 'live active' pudding cups are sugar free and packed with fiber.

There are lots of options. And if you do have to have that candy bar or that bag of chips, break off or separate out a portion and then pout the rest OUT OF SIGHT!!!!! :)

    Good luck!

It depends on what you like but I always have clients (and myself!) pair a carb with a healthy fat or protein. This will help fill you up and keep your energy from spiking. Here are some of my favorite suggestions:
    -Greek yogurt and fruit
    -Apple or banana and PB
    -Nuts and veggie sticks
-Cottage cheese (low fat) and chopped veggies
-Whole wheat english muffin/toast with pb and berries

    Happy and healthy snacking!
