Song questions

Hey ladies.  I've got to turn in song choices pretty soon and wanted yoru opinion on a few things. As we leave the ceremony we are playing a fun dance song.  So when we are introduced as bride and groom-do you think we should play a slow song or a faster dance song?
Also do you think the last song should be fast or slow?

Usually when they Introduce the WP/B&G it's a fast song. When I was a BM the song was "I gotta feeling" by the BEPs.

It's a matter of preference.  I wouldn't worry too much about the introduction--it is literally seconds.  (We also useed "I Gotta Feeling.")

We used "Stay With You" (a slow song) as our last song of the night but alot of people use "Don't Stop Believing."  If you're using a DJ he or she can help guide you.

I'm a little confused by your question.  You are using a fun dance song for your recessional, I got that part.  Which "introduced as bride and groom" are you talking about?  Do you mean when the officiant turns you around and says, "I'd like to introduce Mr. and Mrs. AmandaRenee8503" or when you walk into your reception?

Because if it is the former, make sure you check with your ceremony venue that that is allowed.  A lot of places don't allow any recorded music.  If it is the latter, then what Stephie said.

We are doing I Gotta Feeling-BEP It's fun upbeat and I'm trying to set the mood for the reception. I want people to be energized (specially after food) to dance and have fun! :)

I agree with PPs that it's whatever makes you happy - but (like Meghan said) fast songs get people up and ready to dance.  :)  We're using "How Sweet It Is (to be loved by you)" - the Michael Buble version - as our intro song.  Your last song is whatever mood you want to end with.  (Here we're doing "Somebody to Love" - again, Michael Buble, can you tell I have a slight obession?  :) )  We have a jazz band for the cocktail hour, so our songs kind of go around that theme.
