Hi ladies,
I've lurked this board before, but I can't remember if I posted anything here. I usually chill on the HI wedding board, but I want to get in shape for life so I thought this would be a great board to join in on! Here are my stats:
Wedding date: Sept 20th, 2012 (2.5months away!)
Weight loss/fitness goals: 10lbs, keeping it simple and realistic
Favorite cake flavor: Not having one at wedding, will plan to have one for AHR
If you lurk, how long have you: maybe once or twice over the last couple of months
Anything interesting about yourself: I have recently discovered my inner Matha Stewart and all of these design related ideas have been pouring out of me lol
Any question you might have: None yet
I was never one of those brides who felt like I HAD to lose x amount of lbs before the wedding. I was ok with how I was (my dress is amazing on me as is), but as I get closer to the wedding it's not so much about losing weight for the big day, but more about getting fit to have a long life with the soon to be Mr. I want to have children in about 3ish years and I definitely want to be fit for that major life event. I spoke to my doctor and b/c of my BMI I qualified to for a perscription weight loss aid (she made it extremely clear this is a one time Rx for 3mos that she will NEVER EVER give me again, just something to boost progress and morale, have to have a whole lifestyle makeover to go with it too, which is fine by me). I'm ready for the change and I'm excited about getting in shape. Just thought I'd get to know you ladies to help with the motivational part of this new journey. I like the Accountability check in too, that is JUST want I needed too! Today was the first day on the anti-chunky butt pill (as I call it) and it definitely reduces appetite. I am more conscious about what I eat since I am not really hungry and can't use that as an excuse to pig out. I was told not to exercise the first day in order to see how I feel, thus far I feel good, it doesn't wig me out or anything. I start my 30min/6days a week routine tomorrow so wish me luck!
