Getting in Shape

I miss the gym :(

I've been sick on and off for the last two weeks.  Tried to workout last Monday and ended up coughing the whole time.  Been on a steady stream of water and tea and gained 6 pounds......
Seems like I'm finally getting better, hopefully I hit the gym next week!

  • Been there. Got sick the week before Christmas. Finally started running again this week after 2 weeks off. Between the lack of activity and the over-abundance of food, I put on about 3 pounds. Grr. We have engagement pictures next weekend and the 3 pounds alone wouln't be enough to make me feel self conscious, but on top of the 8 pounds I've gained since the half marathon I ran in fall (my training went down, but, alas, my appetitite did not) I'm feeling a little less than photo-ready right now.

  • Same. It kille me to be staying home all the time, but I can't work out if every other breath becomes a coughing fit. For the first few days, I was too sick to even cook anything, so we ordered Chinese takeout soup. So bad for us! At least I finally felt better enough yesterday to make a healthy soup with lots of good veggies.
  • Hopefully the bug that is running around, leaves soon!
  • Happened to me too... got really sick the week between Chitstmas and New Years (my sisters OTHER present to me for the holidays).  Was out of the gym for 4 days straight... which NEVER happens.  Still felt bad last friday when I went back in to train again, but I couldn't stand it any longer.  I had to do something!!
