Day One! Wedding Day 311 Days Away:)

Hello all! I am new to the knot. I recently got engaged and am set to wed in June of next year. I am an ex-college athlete and have battled knee injuries. Needless to say I am not in the greatest shape. Today was my first day with my personal trainer. I weighed in and got my body fat percentage. This will serve as a gauge! Although I was not pleased with the numbers, I am truly excited to see those numbers decrease as the months go on. I realize that I am beginning my weight loss journey almost a year in advance and for those who may be questioning the logic behind this here is my reasoning. I believe that I need to change my lifestyle, not simply just lose weight for my wedding. I hope that by working out this far in advance I will be able to create habits as far as working out and eating goes that will be hard to break once the wedding and honeymoon are over! I plan to weigh in every two weeks and check my body fat once a month. I will let you all in on how I am doing! Happy planning!:)

  • I completely agree with the whole "lifestyle change" idea. My wedding isn't until next September but i've already started trying to lose weight. it took me a while to put on all this weight so i'm sure it's not going to just fall off! i need to use every day i have!
