Getting in Shape

*all newlyweds*

Does anyone else see all these brides on here and wish they could do it all over again? *sigh* Oh, to have the motivation of an upcoming wedding again, right?

Re: *all newlyweds*

  • Pssh, I'm totally an old married hag now.

There are things about my wedding I'd like to do-over, and I do wish I'd discovered weight lifting earlier.  I very much want to do a TTD so that I have some picutres of me in my dress that I like more!

  • I don't think I could bring myself to do a TTD sesh. I love my dress too much! However, I do that that old one that fit me at 50 lb heavier than I was my wedding day....
  • Yes and no..... It was such an exciting time and lots of fun to plan everything, BUT, it was also SOOOO much stress.  I'm glad the stress part is over.  But, it certainly was nice to have that extra motivation to get in shape.  Right now I'm using our belated honeymoon in Feb. as my motivation to get in shape.  Whatever it takes to motivate myself..... some days its harder than others.

  • While the motivation would be nice to have again, I can't imagine possibly dealing with all of that again.  It was stressful and not fun to plan the wedding.  Plus, I love being married, absolutely love it.  No do overs necessary :)

  • I do miss planning sometimes, but I'm glad the stress is over!

I have had 5 friends get engaged in the past 2 months....and 2 others who are getting married in a few months. So I've been happy to answer questions, give referrals, and live vicariously through them for now! It's fun to see them in the same stages of planning that I just went through, without the pressure and expense.
  • the motivation to lose weight? sure!
the wedding itself and all the stress to go along with it? never ever ever ever ever again.

  • bahaha! Y'all are hilarious! One of my bridesmaids had "two" weddings. The first was a tiny, family-only wedding. Then on her one-year anniversary, they had the "big" wedding that they had been planning for over a year, but couldn't pull off in time - a masquerade ball! She loved it so much she wants to do it again every year, but her husband won't let her. hahahaha.
