Introducing myself

Hello,

I've been lurking on this board for quite awhile and have definately made use of the vendorlist!   I thought I'd finally introduce myself and say thanks for all the info that has been posted here, it has helped a lot!

A little about me...

We're getting hitched 5/19/2012 @ Double D Ranch in Mesquite.  Eddie Dean is catering (its included with the venue).  So far I've got the dress, the venue, the dj, the photographer and um... yeah... think that's where I'm at for the moment!  

Currently working on... invitations?  cake?  bachelorette party?  registering?  I'm pretty much clueless.  FI and I are planning and paying ourselves so our options are pretty much wide open.

About the dresses -- I gave my bridesmaids three choices of dress, and they all ended up picking the same one!

it was a very "us" proposal.  i'm pretty sure that either of us would take a bullet for that crazy pug, he has us wrapped around his little paw.

i thought that it would be a nice gesture to let the ladies pick their own dresses ~within parameters~ but having a choice entails taking the time to shop and pick a dress and a few of my girls are really dragging.  but then again i've gotten to the stage of planning where i have to remind myself that not everyone is as anxious about my wedding as i am!

Cute proposal (and pretty ring and dress)!

I also let my BMs pick out their own dresses, and was surprised that they would've preferred me to just pick! And, try to put it out of your mind if they are dragging their feet -- one of my BMs didn't buy her dress until a couple of weeks before the wedding (off the rack at Macy's). I would've gone crazy if I'd worried about it. But it all worked out just fine.

I loved invitation shopping. I think I spent hours on Vistaprint and Zazzle and other websites like that. Happy planning!
