Wish I'd found a site like this before I got married!

Leslie and I got married with a simple ceremony because frankly, I was out of ideas.

Now that I've found this site I do believe I'll come away with some ideas for a real wedding to give her next April!

Welcome to The Knot! This place is great to meet other people and bounce ideas off of but I wanted to clarify something with you: you and Leslie are already married. What you're planning for next April is a vow renewal. In order for it to be a wedding you would have to get divorced first. Knotties frown on people that try to undermine their actual wedding with an elaborate affair that acts like a wedding but is rude.

I highly encourage you to stick around and see what the boards are like. You can learn a lot here and we hope you and April have a great vow renewal!

Um, yeah you already had your<em> "real"</em> wedding when you had your simple ceremony.  An elaborate wedding does not make your nuptials any more valid than your simple ceremony.
