Workout Accountability: Tuesday

Morning ladies!

Monday was as planned, minus a small late night snack from stress.  No scale repercussions, though, so that was good.  Workout and eating is on track-today isyoga so I'll split the time between cardio and yoga stretches, and I still can't figure out what to have for dinner.  I've been trying to do salmon three times a week but am just not feeling it, and not feeling like too much cooking tonight.  Any ideas?

How is everyone doing?  Happy Tuesday - one day closer to the weekend!

  • Yesterday walked at work during lunch for 50-55 minutes and last night we walked with friends who are also trying to lose weight and are doing so successfully.  After we went back to their house and ate some of their wedding cake for the anniversary.  Sort of counteracts everything!  Healthy eating mostly yesterday and today as well.  Both of us have been at the same weight since May anyway.  Good that we are maintaining close to our goal weights but just can't seem to get there.

    Back at work after a long weekend sucks! but here I sit. Food is on target today and tonight is spin class. I wish the weather wasn't so hot. I really didn't hate the first C25K podcast and want to do it again but I cant fathom the idea in this crazy heat.

  • I didn't work out, again!  I'm mad at myself.  I let a few things during the day really bug me and I was super tired from lack of sleep so I went home and drank a Seven and Seven with dinner.  Not the best choice but oh well.  Thankfully my diet has been okay.  I really just need to get motivated in the afternoons to do a good workout.  I'm always so tired and I get up at 5 or before in the morning so it's tough to try and get up even earlier than that to run/do a video.  I probably could, I just need to push myself and get over this mini-hump!
  • @lobsters - I know this isn't super healthy but as long as you don't over do it, you should be good. I love grilled salmon and I make a glaze with either light maple syrup or molasses mixed with a little bit of olive oil and lemon juice. You just kind of baste a little bit of it on as you are grilling the fish. Fruit salsa is great with salmon too, you can really throw anything in there pineapple, mango, tomatoes, peppers, onion, cilantro, and top it off with lime and lemon juice. so good!

    This morning I lifted back and abs and then I ran for 30 minutes. I used my new running sneaks that FI got me for my birthday and my new wicking socks. LOVED them! I have no blisters this morning!

    I have a dress fitting tonight - slightly nervous!!

  • Good morning! Work is going to be crazy for me again today (my boss is out of town this week and sh!t just keeps hitting the fan!).

    I was still really sore yesterday from the weekend's body pump, so even though it should have been a gym day I didn't go. I did go on a walk with co-workers though and after dinner FI and I went on a bike ride with the bikes my dad brought up for us (I haven't had a bike in over 6 years and my parents are bike enthusiasts so they decided to give us a set of their bikes they don't use anymore as an early wedding gift).

    I had so much fun going on that bike ride. I'm thinking I'll do the same again tonight. It helps that the weather has been lovely.

  • Hey Ladies!

    Long time no check in!  I missed you guys!

    This weekend was my birthday so I was out of town at a B&B and camping.  Didn't count calories but tried to mindful but pretty sure was over.... I am scared to check the scale but the FI put so much thought into everything I think it was worth it!  We did hike A LOT so definitely got a couple workouts in :)

    Today I am back on the wagon including a workout tonight and calorie counting :)

    I hope everyone had a great weekend and Monday and that Tuesday will be awesome too!
  • Only ran a mile yesterday, but I am glad I at least did something.  Need to be better about working on my arms and abs!  Going for 2 miles tonight – MAYBE 2.5.  I am so close to hitting a loss of 30!!! Once I hit that I’ll be the lowest weight I’ve been in years.Weigh in tomorrow so I am crossing my fingers!I hope everyone else has a fabulous day!

  • Mornin. I slept through my alarm so no gym or running. Perhaps I will do a workout after work this evening, we'll see. Eating was spot on and this morning my weight was right back to where it was before the trip, so I'm happy about that.
  • Morning! Made it to the gym this morning... painful getting up, but went 2.5 miles then worked out arms and back. Trying to make sure arms/back look good for strapless gown.

    I loove Salmon, I recently did an Asian Salmon over salad or a Pineapple Habanero marinade. But if you aren't up for cooking, how about Sushi? I like to pick it up once in a while from Stop an Shop an is always fresh an tasty.

  • Maribeth, what socks do you have?  I found that as soon as I got the moisture wicking socks that my feet were incredibly thankful :)

    I really need to step it up motivation wise.  I just realized my bachelorette is this weekend and the dress I'm wearing is an older one that almost fits perfectly but is a little tight.  I think de-bloating will hopefully help... even though this will prove difficult since 95% of the time I feel and I am bloated.

    It's such a great feeling to be back on the wagon and have the scale reward you for it.  Down 1.5 this morning!  YAY!

    Ate great last night ... until I got the hiccups and ate some peanut butter to make them go away, probably more than I needed, but was so tasty, I couldn't help myself.

    No bridal bootcamp last night, but that's ok.  Woke up this morning, Day ... oh crap I lost track.  Either way, Level 3 30DS ... killing me, but feels great to get through.  Tonight is weight class.  Woot!

    Hope everyone has a super fabulous day today ... I'll be thinking of you all! :)

  • @lbarr I just bought  Under Armour socks. I have been getting really bad blisters which is resulting in calluses in the same spot on both my of feet. They are always really raw and sore right after I run. I didn't have that at all this morning. I was so happy!

    @sunrise - I LOVE peanut butter! If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I would eat that. Sometimes when I'm a little short on calories I treat myself to a spoonful :)

    @k - Tonight is my second fitting - I went about a month and a half ago and they had to take it in quite a bit (was pretty pleased with myself). I've lost a little more since then so I hope that's ok. My dress is a corset back so I really would like to be able to keep losing up until the day if possible. Tonight they are supposed to be fitting me for the hem and the bustle (assumung it doesnt need to be taken in anymore). When is your fitting??

  • Got in a walk after work with the dog which was a nice bonus.   Dinner wasn't the healthiest - grilled chicken wings but better than the leftover fried chicken sitting in the fridge.  We are putting a menu for the week together today so it will be healthy eating the rest of the week.  

    Biked to work today, hopefully will be able to bike the rest of the week.

    I did OK yesterday on eating althoughmy only workout was the 7 block walk to and from the ballpark and hauling my Mom's crutches and gear up and down the stairs for her.

    Tonight will be pretty busy as I need to go grocery shopping and then make sure my Mom has dinner. I guess it's a good thing we are still staying with her, although I wish we had more time to finish the work on our house. Hopefully the general running around will negate the lack of any formal exercise.

  • Hey everyone!

    Got back from our 10 day camping trip last night, and today I am so happy to be back to eating my regular food. I weighed in this morning and saw a 2 lb increase, but I'm thinking/hoping that it's just water weight from all of the carbonated beverages and salty snacks that come along with camping. I also just got my period today, so there's a nice combination of things going on to screw with my weight, lol. Good news is, the camping trip was awesome!

    Today I'm busy busy with doing laundry and then getting ready to go house/cat-sit for a friend of my mother until the 17th. It's going to be a busy month for me, just hoping I'll keep up with the work outs and healthy eating. I'll need to too to combat the stress! At the end of the month I move to Edmonton (about 1.5 hours away) for school while FI stays in Red Deer. However, this does mean I'm in the second half of my degree now so I can't feel too sad!

    No exercise on the plan for today because I work tonight, but I'll make sure to get in a good number of steps there!

  • Hello Everyone!

    So today started off pretty rough to say the least. I got a text from my boss at 8:45am this morning saying "don't forget we have a staff meeting this morning at 9". I was still in the bed asleep. Thank goodness I live about 2 minutes from my work and was able to make it on time however, I only had time to throw on a t-shirt and running shorts, brush my teeth, and grab a water and a nature valley bar as I was running out the door! I also grabbed my lunch that I thankfully already packed last night with leftovers and a thing of yogurt. Today was crazy after the meeting with getting everyone moved onto campus and making sure that everyone is registered and eligible to play. In the midst of all of that craziness I managed to call a bridal boutique in Atlanta and schedule an appointment for September!:) Then, later in the afternoon my fiance and I got into a little tiff and we haven't talked since. I was so angry and was just wanting to call it a day when my boss said we were done for the day but I stuck it out and went ahead and got a workout in. I ran a mile and did some circuit weights. Also, my poor roommate had to stay at home today she is sick with the bug. I hope that she gets to feeling better ASAP and I hope that she is also not contagious. Here's to hoping that tomorrow is a better day:)

    @k: You decided to go with a 5K speed training? I think that is great!! Let me know how it goes...

    Today has been good...got up a walked to the track (1.8 miles one way) and then did 3.6 miles on the track with some speedwork in there...then walked home. So I put in a total of 7.2 miles, which is pretty cool. Food has been good too...I love having my own place and my own kitchen again!
  • I JUST saw this thread, and I love it. No workout for me this morning since I had a DERM appt and then my Fiance and I had a meeting at the church, but here's to hoping that I wake up early before the triple digit heat comes our way!
