Workout Accountability: Friday

Good morning and happy Friday!!

Last night I did my last day of Week 3 C25K. Tonight I think I'll do one or two JM workouts. Probably a 30DS and something else.

I am super excited because tomorrow is our tasting! Yay! I can't wait. Other than that, we have nothing on tap for the weekend. I kind of prefer it that way.

How did everyone do last night? What do you have planned for the weekend?

Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

  • Morning!

I lifted last night and did 40 minutes on the elliptical.  Tonight I have a run planned and haven't decided if I just want to do a straight 4-6 mile run or a 4 mile hill workout.  I'll see how I feel after work.

FI and I are picking out our wedding bands this weekends, so I'm pretty pumped for that, and we'll probably finally order our invitations too.

Have fun at your tasting lizzie, that was one of my favorite parts of planning so far.

  • I just can't stop ellipticing! Must change workout!

    Have a great weekend!
  • Woo!  I actually have something to report today :)  I lifted last night and did abs.  I'm PRAYING that when I get new shoes this weekend I can start training again.  I will probably start off with a nice and easy 5K run to get things swinging again.  Also, someone reccommended that I try Arnica Gel.  It helps with various types of injuries (muscle, joint, swelling, bruising, etc.).  I am using it on my foot and it seems to help a bit.  Also I had tweaked my neck a few nights ago and used it on that and my neck is better :)  I like that stuff!
  • As mentioned, I cycled yesterday morning.  I really wanted to take today off because I'm super sore, but we had a rough yesterday so FI and I decided to scrap the planned salmon dinner and order a pizza.  I also stress ate a bit before he got home - no good.
So, I'll probably do cardio and weights tonight.  If I get super motivated, I may try to sneak out to spin class at lunch.

We did a 6 mile run last night- it was great!  We were moving along pretty quickly- just over 8 minutes per mile :)  I am taking tonight off but I've got 10 miles Satruday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • Morning Ladies! TGIF!!! This morning I got in 55 minutes of cardio at the gym. I really tried to push myself this morning as I think I have gotten really comfortable in my routine. I went a much longer "distance" on the elliptical then I ever have!

FI & I are going to check out a place for our rehersal dinner tonight with my FMIL. We will be eating dinner there too. I get really anxious with eating out because you never know how the food is cooked and what exactly is in it. I am just not a salad kind of girl  so I usually steer clear of that. Hopefully I still stay within my goal.

I hope everyone has a great weekend :)

  • Good Morning!

This morning I lifted biceps, triceps & shoulders, and then took a 60-minute spin class.  We are going to a party tonight and I know I'm not going to eat great, but I'll try to make the best choices I can!
  • I did my Insanity workout last night.  I updated about it in yesterday's thread (I know you were curious, lbarr).  Needless to say, I did NOT get up to work out this morning.  I was awake, but it hurts to live.  I hope I loosen up a bit over the course of the day so I can do the next one tonight.  I think I'll at least put it on, and do what I can, even if it's only part of the workout, or doing it super slow.  I don't want to get off track again!

J, I just read that update.  Holy crap.  That is intense, and might I even use the word INSANE.  As soon as I don't have to live above someone I want to try it.  It's definitely one of those things I think I'd have to be diligent about since skipping seems deadly :)
  • Hi All,
I started doing HIIT last night and will do another round today.  FI is coming out this weekend.  Saturday is a rest day.  I got my dress last night!!!   I was happy to find a dress that even if I don't lose weight I am comfortable in and look great!  But still have motivation to work out!  And I was a size smaller than I thought which is always nice =)

  • Did 100 crunches last night, 10 minutes on the stairmaster (I changed the levels and I thought I would have a heart attack by the end of it, but I did finish!), then 30 minutes on the elliptical (which was hell after the stairmaster)

Only got 15 minutes of weightlifting in, but I've added to the weights recently so the lifting is definitely more challenging.

Tonight I'm hoping to get in a quick 30 minute workout before going out for a friend's birthday. Tomorrow is gym day again.

  • entropic- stairs are my enemy.  I feel like I am going to have an asthma attack when I do intervals on them!  Great job though =)

    Ooooh, that's pretty :)

Maribeth- I don't eat salads at restaurants either- by they time you add in the fat from the dressing and the sodium from the chicken it isn't any healthier than just getting steak and a baked potato.  Just avoid creamy sauces and anything with breading.  Cut it in half, box it up, and have a decent dinner tonight & save the rest for lunch!  Oh, and HAVE FUN!!!

<div>Yeah, I'm using it as something to challenge myself. Right now I'm only doing it once a week, but eventually I would like to get to the point where I'm not sweating buckets and feeling like I'm dying on it and able to do more than 10 minutes at a time!</div><div>
</div><div>The elliptical used to be this challenging for me, and now it's like my go to "easy" workout.</div>

  • J&K I did the first month of Insanity and then had to stop. My FH would only do one day a week with me. You will feel amazing when you are done with it though!
PBurke- Your dress is so pretty! I got mine from David's Bridal as well. I had to order mine a size up for the bust. I tried it on last week and the top part is already tight. So I can't gain any back fat! It's great knowing that even if I don't reach my goal weight the dress will still get taken in!
Today I am going to clean the house and count that as a workout. This weekend is going to be warm so we are planning on going for a run tomorrow. I need to drop .6 more pounds to reach my check-in goal for Monday and I am determined to meet it! I made my weekly weight loss goals part of my checklist. I love checking things off on there and it will be nice having some extra accountability!

Last night I did 30 minutes with my punching bag and 20 minutes of weights.  I'm so glad my sister (my MOH) keeps on me about my excercising.  She told me "your dress thanks you!"  And I'm sure it will!
