AffordableOutdoor Wedding??

Anyone in the DFW area know of a nice but affordable outdoor venue? I'm looking for maybe around 1000. Even if it was just a field with a barn! My fianc and I are going for a rustic/western theme but everywhere we look everything is just too pricey. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: AffordableOutdoor Wedding??

  • Is $1K just for the rental or does that include food?  How many guests?  Do you want ALL outdoor for both ceremony and reception?
  • I'm hoping to spend $1000 on the venue, I have more $$ set aside for the rest of it. Guest count is probably 100-150.
  • Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake is around $180/hour but it is completely DIY and books up very quickly.  It would hold your guest count nicely, though.

  • River Legacy in Arlington has a great outdoor pavillion. Its somewhere around $300.00 for the entire day. Its completely DIY, but if you have people to set up/clean up for you it would be worth it. www.riverlegacy.org
  • Myer's Park and Event Center in McKinney.

  • I'm not sure about the rates, but you may want to call Paradise Cove as well.

<div>Gorgeous place but more pricey than I was looking for, thank you for the suggestion, though!</div>
  • I do not know their pricing but several Knotties have used La Buena Vida vineyards.  It is 100% outdoors though with no backup plan.

Here is our "barn thread" which lists barn venues in the metroplex.  Some of these would probably fit your budget, like Swinging D.

  • How rustic/western you looking? Nashville Antiques in Burleson has a party barn with an outside area that could probably accomodate your guest count. It was a little too "rustic" for me, but the inside of the barn is air conditioned with a bar area. It even has an old claw foot tub you can fill with ice to put your drinks in to keep them cold. I think it rents for $650..8 am - 1am. All DIY . They don't have a website but you can call to schedule a tour....

<div>Thank you so much! I have called them and am going to see them for a tour! Really hoping it works! I want a rustic/western wedding and from what I've heard of this place, it just may be it!
