SA Wednesday

I just had the most delicious chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese from Einsteins.

I tried on my dress this weekend so my BM could practice the bustle and it was too big in the waist. Rather than alter it again I am just going to be less careful about eating than I have been. A weird feeling this close to the wedding. :)

    Ha, opposite issue here.
I just tried on my reception dress and was pretty much doing lunges in it to stretch it out.  It zips right up (Thank God!) but when I sit the back arm ugliness appears.  I just have to remember to sit up straight!

When I tried on in store the 8 fit perfectly so I ordered the 8.  Yea, I didn't even think that everyone and their mothers have tried on that dress and it was stretched out.

Everything else is going great (knock on wood!).  I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.  Get here already!!!!!

I went for my fitting on Saturday, and realized that if I had lost as much weight as I originally wanted, my dress would have needed a lot more alterations, and it already needed a lot. The scale is actually dropping this week, but I have room to lose probably another 3-5 pounds or so before my corset back can't go any tighter :)

I was going to AW that I finally had my monthly visitor for the first time since January tomorrow but it is no longer something to AW about...I sure as heck don't miss not having them now.

I really don't want to be here today but I have a meeting that I can't miss.

I have 4 bosses, I sure as heck don't need a 5th so stop acting like it.

Tuesday morning I woke up with my glasses embedded in my leg because somehow they jumped from my nightstand into the bed and last night I noticed they were bent :(

I made it through Parenthood last night without falling asleep.

I took this zero period assignment back in 2006 because I needed the money, I didn't have a life and I wanted my program to grow.  Well, now, four years later (my fifth year of doing this), I'm tired and I don't want to do it anymore.  I would sort of miss the money but I'm too the point where I don't really care too much.  I value my time (and sleep) a little too much now.  This all completely contradicts what I told Bill as he pursued this new job.  I told him to follow the money because he was working long hours and hadn't gotten a raise since he got there.  Heck, he even took a pay cut to take the last job.

My dad is having the house updated.  It will make it easier to sell in a couple of years and it will also give him something to do and make it nice to live in again.  However, I can't believe he's boarding the three cats.  Two of them are 13 and one is 7.  They've never been out of the house for more than an afternoon here or there for a vet appointment.  I hate to think of them pining away and being lonely without their regular humans.  I almost want to cry.

My eyes are all puffy from crying all night. My boss noticed right away and asked if I was already.  I told her yes even though all I want to do is cry more.  I'm an emotional wreck these days.  The slightest thing sets me off.  I can't decide if it's wedding stress or just sad, depressed crying because of my step dad.  I haven't slept a full night since before he passed away unless I'm drunk (thank you bachelorette party for that!!).  FI wants me to go to the doctor and see if they can give me some pills but I'm going to wait until after the wedding to see if it's just stress.

(Guess this was more of a B&M sorry just really tired today I guess)

I really don't like David's Bridal. I know many of you have had a wonderful experience with them - and I'm glad you did - but I don't like them.  So, when I ordered my BM dress a month or so ago they said the latest it would get here would be Oct 4th.  Well, I still had not received a call from them yesterday so I called them.  The lady said - oh, yes your dress is here.  Really?  Why didn't anyone call me?

Then I go and pick it up after work (around 6:30).  I tried it on just to make sure it fit, etc.  Well, it didn't.  When I ordered it I tried on the smaller size and it was a bit snug and I thought - so many people have tried this on, I bet it's stretched and it's a 'bit' snug, so I'll go up a size.  Well, now if I move at all - all of my top half risks exposure.  Crap.  Of course DB offered to do alterations.  Um - no way.  I don't trust DB.  So, I'm hauling butt to my tailor at like 6:55 (closes at 7).  Anyway - it all worked out and my tailor didn't charge me extra for rushed alterations (the wedding is Saturday).

The point of my very long winded story - I don't like David's Bridal.  I am so happy I NEVER have to work with them again.  :)

I would just like to take a moment to tell everyone how much of an amazing person my MOH is...

She is a student and goes to school during the day.  She works long hours at a restaurant at night.  She is currently staying with her grandmother to nurse her back to health after her recent stay in the hospital.  In between all this, she found time to make FI and I a wedding website!  I was blown away!  It is complete with bios of all the bridal party and information for our big day!

Dana, I'm so sorry you're not doing well. It might not be a bad idea to at least talk to a doctor or a professional. I'd hate for you to be sad on your wedding day if you might be able to get a little help now. Maybe even just something to help you sleep better... I'll be thinking about you. :)

We are becoming Great Aunt and Uncle today!!! FI's niece is having her first baby...I am so excited to see little miss Alliyah Jade on Friday :)
This is all so new to me...I am the oldest in my fam and have no Aunt-ly duties yet, but FI is the youngest by a lot in his and has lots of nieces and nephews that are in their early 20's. Great Aunt makes me feel old...older than my fast approaching 30th bday is making me feel! Yikes!

    Dana,
I agree with Laura.  Go see someone now.  You don't want to turn your wedding into something you don't like to remember.  I know it's hard to admit that you're struggling with depression and anxiety (and all the other stuff going on) but they will be able to help you.

My FSILs are NUTS.  Like, seriously crazy.  They live in the same town, 4 hours away, and do not speak to each other over some petty text messages that happened months ago.  I ended up inviting one to my bachelorette party, but not the other, and now she is sending me FB messages that her feelings are hurt and that she feels left out.  I apologized, and explained my reasoning (which had nothing to do with their petty drama), and she said her feelings are still hurt.  Really?  You are 26 years old, stop acting like you're 8.  I like you a little bit despite your selfishness and witchiness, try not to ruin that.  And, while I'm at it, please don't be petty and hold a grudge over this for years to come - I won't lose sleep over it, so you shouldn't either.  Let it go.

I was filling out paper work for the house last night and you are supposed to sign your name and then print it below.  I signed First Marriedlastname and then printed First Maiden.  I have never done that since changing my last name.  I didn't even realize what I was doing.  So I scratched it out and signed my marriedlastname instead of printing it.

I am listening to Christmas music and have a strong urge to decorate. Like, really strong. I will hold back though. I am pretty sure if my FI came home and saw Christmas decorations he would divorce me before we even get married.

And I know I say something about Chic-fil-a every week but this has gotten way out of control.
    Hi, I'm Brooke and I'm a Chic-fil-a-aholic.
Seriously, I think there is something wrong with me! I will just be chilling throughout the day and all of the sudden a spicy chicken sandwich pops in my head and I just can't get to Chic-fil-a fast enough! I need help!

Serlace: I don't really like DB either. I had AW'ed awhile ago that my girls found their dresses there but the service was so bad that we all decided to go to a regular store first before we chose them. No one would help us at DB! I was in a wheelchair and no one offered to help my girls zip up or clip the bigger dresses. I don't think anyone ever acknowledged we were there except when we first walked in and they wanted us to register. And if their service is that bad before they even have our money I'm scared to think how bad it would be after we ordered them!

I've been mildly disappointed with "Glee" so far.  While last night's episode was okay, it was very hard to watch.

I have an appt. of my own tomorrow with a doctor.  There has got to be a reason I haven't had it since early summer.  While the pretty obvious one would be awesome, I actually get a little sick when I think about it.
