Happy Weekend! (Chat Thread)

What's up ladies?

We have severe storms in the forcast but right now it looks absolutely beautiful out.  However, the South Dakota rule is "wait 5 minutes and the weather is bound to change"  *sigh* Weather permitting, I'll haul dirt into my raised garden beds and flower boxes today to get them ready to go.  My little sprouts in the greenhouse aren't so little anymore and hopefully they can go outside soon as I get the weather all clear for frost.

I have tons of school work to do today but only after I have a big plate of pumpkin pancakes for breakfast.  I'm hitting the diet train hard next week.  I don't like this creeping weight loss one bit.  I wanna be below 200 dang it.

  • That's about how it works in MN too.  We're getting furniture delivered today, and then going to a BBQ tonight.  I'm thinking about a quick bike ride at some point too.

My basil is so sad.  Two of them are almost completely wilted, and the other two are starting to turn yellow.  I don't understand.

  • The weather is amazing here, and will be 74 and sunny with a light breeze when we head to the Phils game tonight.  Just perfect!

We just got back from our Boston's first trip to the dog park.  We're not sure what happened to her in the puppy mill, but she does NOT like other dogs, and our trip did not go well.  We went with my coworker and her dogs, because she's the type who wouldn't flip out over Scarlett's hostility, but I still felt terrible, and the other dog owners were less than nice, even though we did everything possible to control her. (Not to mention, some of their dogs were picking fights, too).  Still, it makes me sad.

So, Phils game and maybe walking around Philly today, and tomorrow we're BBQing with my mom after FI does a practice run for the Broad Street 10-miler and I finish teaching one of my Sunday School classes.

And.....  A cell is firing up in Nebraska and heading this way.  It's still a few hours out so we'll have to see what happens.  I DO love a storm though.  Maybe get some early season chasing in (if the H doesn't veto it)
  • I'll be taking cover tonight!! I'm located in Kansas City so I'm right in its path :-\
I started an internship last week and still work weekends at my regular job so I am EXHAUSTED! Only one more month until graduation though!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  • FH finally got the lawn mower working so I was able to mow our lawn for the first time ever! (We bought the house in August and he was head lawn mower last summer) The lawn mower really gave my arms a work out though! Indulged in a new Chinese place, definitely not our favorite place so far. Then I did Jillian Michaels and really regretted eating all that Chinese food. Hopefully tomorrow we can go for a nice long run together and I'll do some more JM. Can't wait to take some measurements after a week and see if there are real results already! Anyone planning on taking on landscaping or gardening while planning a wedding? I have so many garden plans right now!
