Hi everyone! I’ve perused and occasionally commented on here, but thought I’d introduce myself as I plan on being a regular. Below is an abbreviated history of my weight loss story.
I grew up plump, but active. I danced & played tennis all through grammar/high school. I became vegetarian in high school and then went vegan in college. In 2006 my friend was getting married, so I went on a very strict, but balanced, eating regimen and began exercising aggressively. I went from about 200lbs to 145. I was in the best shape of my life.
A few months later, there was a shocking death in the family that sent my emotions over a cliff. Everything went crazy and I ended up gaining it all back. Fast forward to 2010 and I’m over 200lbs again. My friend started teaching Zumba class, so I went to support her. I lost 30lbs and then joined a gym again so I could really accelerate my weight loss. I met my now FI and had even more drive to lose weight. I trained for & completed my first 5K in 2011 and was exercising 4-5x/wk and lifting heavy weights.
I got down to 170, but then started my own business (on top of my full-time), so my exercise time was gone. I haven’t been to the gym in 4 months & have lost all my muscles. My legs are pathetic now! I haven't gained any of it back, but I also haven't lost any. So, I’m back on the bandwagon. I restocked my home with healthy foods and plan on exercising at least 30min every day to start.
I have less than 3 months before my wedding and need to get in shape! YEY!
