Getting in Shape

New Here

Hi ladies,

  I'm new to this board.  Usually post on June 2011.  However, I'm trying to get back in shape and lose some weight.  I was just wondering how this accountability thing worked.

  • I am a June 2011 bride also! Welcome! The accountability is for WW and other plans. People just post what they are going to eat that day or something like that.
  • Hey I'm new here too :) October 2011....I have my dress already...only problem is I think I have gained about 30-40 pounds since buying it over a year ago. We had a date set then family things happened and we decided to postpone the wedding...plus it was being discontinued lol.

    So I am at 177 right now....I really want to get down to my healthy weight range which for a 5ft 4in 20 year old woman is supposedly between 116 pounds and 145 pounds.

    I found an app for my phone called Diet2Go it's pretty cool. And I just saw the Couch to 5K plan...pretty cool too!

    Wouldn't mind some buddies on my weight loss journey....

    The accountability threads are basically just what we're planning on eating and what exercise we've got planned for the day.

    I find that if I plan it out (and tell someone my plan) I'm a lot more likely to stick to it.  Because you now what they say, if you fail to plan you plan to fail.

    There's a separate thread each day for those following Weight Watchers and then one for the rest of us.  Just jump on in.  The threads are also great places to get  new meal or snack ideas.
