Hello! I recently lost about 65lbs and I have been successfully maintaining my loss for about 4 months now. I am thrilled with where I am at and do not have a goal of losing more. I feel great, eat healthy and have become much more active and motivated with with losing the weight.
My wedding is not until November 2013 but it is so exciting to me that I will have photos I can look back on and hopefully always be happy with the way I look...after being so disgusted with myself with my weight gain after college.
My biggest focus has been change in diet, eating healthy and weighing myself daily to hold myself accountable. I've taken up new hobbies of bike riding, do couch 2 5K training when I can and also joined a flag football league.
I will be upfront in saying that I kickstarted my weightloss journey with a fad diet (HCG) and lost 30lbs in 40 days last summer BUT after that loss I focused on healthy eating and lost the rest of my weight naturally w/ no crazy low calorie diet.
For me this has been a lifestyle change and change in habits..its not just to fit into a wedding dress of my dreams but to be a happier person, feeling great about myself and loving being active. The wedding dress in 1.5 years is good motivation to keep it off- but I want it to go beyond the wedding day and hope this can be a life long commitment...but its certainly not easy because I'm def a food addict. One little slip up and I could be completely off the wagon (I lost the weight once before and fell off the wagon and gained it back).
Here's a before and after photo. That before photo was when I was a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding...I remember absolutely HATING going for the fitting (and having to pay extra for a larger size dress)...the after photo was my recent work Gala which for the first time in a long time I felt great.
I'm going dress shopping tomorrow and can't wait
