AW Thursday

Tomorrow we're celebrating Courts' birthday, we're going to eat Greek food and have cake from our bakery since we didn't get to eat much at the wedding. I only had one bite of cake!

We leave for Hawaii in five days!!! I'm actually kind of glad we waited a couple weeks after the wedding. I've been able to visit with family who was still in town and catch up on some work things, and now we get 2 1/2 weeks to relax. And, we're flying first class thanks to my awesome dad and his miles!

I am so jealous. I want to go back to Hawaii. What island are you going and what resort. I think hawaii is the perfect place for a honeymoon.

Stephie - I'm super excited! I've never flown first class, and who knows, it might be my only chance!

bellagrace - We're spending 8 nights on the Big Island (4 on Kona side, 4 on Hilo side) and 8 nights on Kauai. The day that we fly from the Big Island to Kona, we'll be spending the day in Honolulu so we can go to Pearl Harbor. We went to the Big Island in June of 2009 with my family, and that's where he proposed! We're not staying at any resorts - we've rented cottages through vrbo.com so that we could stretch our budget and stay longer.

We stayed in Wailea on Maui. We stayed in Maui the whole, but it was fun to really discover the island. We stayed at a resort because DH booked it. But have used VRBO and its a great thing to use when traveling.

Ohh I got another one, last night I tried on dresses. There is one I really like but I didn't cry or anything... but I can see myself getting married in that one... I am still going to wait since I have plenty of time...

Anna, that's so exciting! I've only flown first class once and it was only because I was being harassed by the guy sitting next to me in coach. It was soooo nice! 

& one of my good friends is getting married in Hawaii next year, so I think I might use that as an excuse to go.  Even Daniel who doesn't like beaches wants to go! And cottages are definitely my style, let me know how it all goes!

First class to Hawaii!! Ooh la la.

We upgrade to first class at the airport a lot (you can usually upgrade for about $100 if space is available) , and have got to fly it a few times when going standby too.

It's SO nice just to have the space.  I'm tall and DH is extremely tall.  It looks like his knees are touching his ears most of the time in coach.

Thank you guys!  I love it...it will be a nice change! Jeez, I missed so much today because I was off of work I just posted and had to run.

Angela don't worry too much about having to postpone your wedding. We had to push ours back a year (original date was this past September) due to finances and FI still job searching. It sucks but it will allow us to have the wedding we really want without going into debt.


My AW: my doggie won the costume contest, so thanks to anyone who put in a vote for him. We really appreciate it.

Angela - I will let you know! We used vrbo when we went with my family, and it worked out really well.

Tiffany - Yeah, we don't really have that problem as I'm 4'11" and he's 5'2", but I'm sure it will still be great
