I'm not one to get excited over people doing thier jobs they get paid millions to do (Ex. Cliff Lee)
So, I'm definately more likely than some to say "wow, what do you get paid millions for?"  with anyone (athletes, singers, Kardashians..really..why ARE they famous? lol.).
But I feel like there was more at play then just the sound system.

Not trying to offend..just my opinion! Laughing

The sound was WAY messed up (beyond just bad acoustics - mixing, mic not working, etc) for part of the half time show... and even given that, Fergie sounded terrible the first half of the performance.  I think she sounded better the 2nd half of it.
And on top of it, part of the "V" in "LOVE" not lighting up was another lovely technical FAIL.
I wonder if someone from the production company got in big trouble...

I heard that the Raiderettes (Bell HS) were on the field, too.  What a neat opportunity for those drill teams.  Oh, and I did like their Tron-like costumes. :)
(but not the cube head ones...)

I love the black eyed peas, so I enjoyed watching halftime even if Fergie didn't sound amazing. Lucky drill teams that got to be on the field! My friend was on the stage, too bad they had to wear the block heads so no one could see their faces though.

I thought the whole performance was very 2003. I don't know. I just remember being in the kitchen with DH and us laughing about it.

And I agree with Brooke. There's nothing un-American about messing up the national anthem. Everyone makes mistakes. Just because they are celebrities we shouldn't hold them up to some crazy sub-human standard. Everyone is human. Everyone messes up. Not a CA fan, just making a point.

Even if they were trying to be 2008, they were actually late themselves.

I liked it.  I liked the energy.  I liked that it was obvious they weren't doing something pre-recorded.  I appreciated that so much more.

I blame Jerry Jones instead of the NFL. I think instead of him trying to get the most attendance, he should have checked if he could add those seats first. And selling tickets to stand in the stairway was crazy. He is more worried about getting the highest attendance than their safety. And for that, I can't stand him. Well I couldn't stand him before. But the NFL should have put his a$$ in check. lol I don't know this just gives me more reason to hate the little guy.

I don't think the NFL really cares.  They just want their money.

I'm surprised no one mentioned those Groupon commercials. Even though I was amused, I found them to be in pretty poor taste.

I thought the game itself was boring and quit watching at halftime.

On a non-game related but still Superbowl week related note, I have dealt with some of the most entitled, uncoordinated, inconsiderate groups of people for some parties. Other groups were so wonderful to work with and so organized and on top of things (and even let our staff mingle with the celebrities) but others were not forthcoming with plans for their events and left everything to us to guess what they wanted. I came in today to find out that my Saturday night group, and all their alcohol sponsors, left a HUGE mess in their area that took my staff two hours to clean.

    UGH I'M SO OVER IT!

I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

Oh I did like the Living Social commercial. Did anybody see that one? The guy was getting a manicure, waxing and dinners. I thought it was funny because my inbox gets filled with those coupons and discounts.
