HCG diet is working wonders!!!!!!!!!!

HI Brides!
I thought I would share my happiness with you all. I am about 35-40 pounds overweight, and I have tried every diet ever.
I just found the HCG diet... and I am losing like a half a pound to a pound a day, and I feel great.  A week in and I am down 7 pounds. It is a 40 day diet... so I am hoping to lose 30 pounds by the end of it. There are a ton of different companies that sell the drops...  you will not even feel like you are only eating 500 calories a day. :)
You have to be perfect on the diet... and NO drinking... but I have been so happy with the results so far... we will see how I feel in two weeks.. :)

  • Ugh.

You're destroying your metabolism.  You're not getting enough nutrients.  HCG is BAD FOR YOU.

  • You do know that accelerated weight loss often comes right back one you start eating normally right?

And you also know that eating 500 calories a day equals starvation right?

You have almost a year until your wedding.  Why on earth would you do such a drastic and potentially harmful thing to your body instead of just eating right and developing a long-term sustainable food lifestyle?
  • hCG threads make me sad.
  • Yeah... um.. Have fun gaining all the weight back. And, you know it will be even HARDER to lose once it's back, right?! You have MORE than enough time to lose the weight correctly.

  • 500 CALORIES A DAY???

This is a terrible idea in and of itself -- not even including the hcg.

Firstly i will say congrats on deciding to lose weight, however, limiting calorie diets do work wonders, and you can lose weight quite quickly, 500 calorie a day is VERY unhealthy. You could continue to eat a 1400-1500 calorie a day diet by only eating healthy lean meats, lots of fiber, whole grains and LOTS of fruits and veggies as well as drinking LOTS of water and be very strict not to go over your calories and still loose 2-3 lbs a week, more if you decide to work out. Also most lower calorie foods are usually very high salt content that will cause other problems with your health later in life. 500 calories is your body using up fat stored, but as soon as you break your diet for even a day or two your body ill start storing whatever you eat and the weight will come back on and continue to store it. You dont want to lose "weight" you want to lose fat.  I was in the same boat, i was nealry 80lbs over weight, and with eating a "normal" base of calories  and doing something as simple as walking 2 miles a day i have lost 60lbs. Also the faster you lose "weight" isnt good as your skin cant adjust to whats happening fast enough, without working out the muscles your just going to lose the weight and not tighten and tone as you go. The result is having a lot of very unattractive flabby skin, not that lean mean sexy body you are hopeing to get. As much as your excited about losing the weight your doing it in a very unhealthy way. If you want to see a healthy weightloss try something like dietpower.com you can buy the disc and track your calories, if you have any health issues it will adjust it for you and will help track your getting enough of your daily needs for vitamins and minerals. Just be very careful, the 500 calories a day is VERY scary and can lead to sugar drops and spikes and make you pass out from your body not having enough to run on.  Good luck.
