Photography on a Budget

Hello Ladies,

I see a lot of new faces and some familiar ones too since I was here last summer planning my own wedding! I am helping my brother plan his DFW wedding while he is away in College Station.  I read the below vendor post and did a search, but am still looking for some help. 

My brother is on a tight budget and is looking for a photographer for around $1500.  I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations?

Chelsea McGowan - I am not positive what her prices are (couldn't find them on her website)... I used her for boudoir only, but I hear she's reasonably priced, and she's great to work with.

My photographer is Larra Palermo, out of College Station, and she's awesome... she's travelling to Dallas to do my bridals, and her mileage charges are reasonable.  (My actual wedding is closer to BCS; that's why we picked her.)  She has several different packages, and will work to create something that works for you, so I am sure you could get some great coverage for $1,500.  Prices are on her website.

Both do husband and wife team shooting.  Both are google-able.  Good luck!

Six Fourteen--although I'm not sure Colton is that cheap any more!  I also really like Jennifer Strain and I think her packages start at that.

My photographer is Suzie Bell of Suzie Bell Photography.  She shot our engagement pics and is shooting my wedding next month and I cannot wait!  She is very reasonable and will work with you on your budget.  I promise, you will not be disappointed and if you book your wedding through her, your engagement session is free!

I believe SixFourteen packages now start at $1800 but includes your engagement or bridal session in addition to the wedding. His prices are on his website.

I am using Chelsea and Mack of Mcgowan images and they are fantastic.  There packages start at 1500 which includes both of them photographing the wedding all rights to your images and it may include an engagement or bridal session but I am not certain.  I strongly suggest contacting them and seeing if you get a good feeling and seeing how they can work with you on what you want.  They have been nothing but personable, responsive and professional I cant wait for our engagements in Nov.

i have a good friend in austin who does AMAZING work. he has a very distinct style that not everyone will like for a wedding, but i've had him work my birthday party and do random portrait sessions and they're just GORGEOUS. he doesn't have an official studio, but he's very professional and definitely within that budget i would think.
