How to lose 15lbs fast?!

I am having a beach wedding May 5. I haven't started looking for a dress because I want to lose weight. I've lost about 7lbs by cutting out fast food, drinking water, and eating healthier meals at home. I need to lose about 15 more pounds. I wanted to start looking for a dress next month. Any ideas how to lose this weight? I'm ashamed to say I don't exercise Embarassed.

    I use MyFitnesspal online to track what I eat.  It's free and easy to use.

  • If you are wanting to lose the weight you need to exercise. Cardio and Strength Training. If you have an apple device try the MyFitnessPal app, It is awesome!

  • I lost 20 lbs in less than 2 months by changing my diet.. and I lost 7 lbs in the first 3 weeks without going to the gym. But you have to ease into working out, anyway, right? :) All I did to work out was 30 minutes on the elliptical (heart rate at 130 for fat burn.) After a few weeks of keeping your heart rate at 130, you can bump it up to 160 for cardio. Following that was 30 minutes of weight and strength training. I went 3-4 times a week.

    Now for the diet - it's very boring, but it works!! And you can't cheat!

    Breakfast - 4 egg whites and a bowl of instant oatmeal (maple & brown sugar is okay).
    Mid-day snack - 1 protein shake and 20 almonds.
    Lunch - chicken breast (6 oz), 1 cup brown rice, 1 cup green beans or broccoli
    After lunch snack - 1 protein shake and 20 almonds.
    Dinner - white fish (6 oz), chicken (6 oz), lean burger or turkey, 1 cup green beans or broccoli.
    If you're starving, you can have one small container of greek yogurt.

    The key to this diet is LOTS of protein and eating 5 times a day. This keeps your metabolism up and burns calories. You have to avoid carbs, caffeine, starches, and sugars (this includes fruit like apples). If you're a coffee addict like me, you can have a small cup in the morning, but limit the sugar and only use skim milk instead of cream.

    I tried counting calories and every other diet imaginable (I'm only 5' but yo-yo'd from 110-123. I now weigh 100 lbs!) but this is the only thing that worked for me, and FAST. Good luck!  :)

  • Cutting out sodas also helps.  That may or may not be in with fast food, but if you grab a bottle of coke or have them at home, stop!  I love 'em, but I know they're loaded with carbs and empty calories.  My mother lost 40lbs a few years ago by cutting out chocolate and soda alone.  No extra exercise beyond walking the dog every day.

    But, to drop a few pounds quick, lots of cardio and lots of water.  Water will help flush out extra sodium that makes you bloat.
