Re: 50 POUNDS THINNER

  • I'm trying to lose 65 lbs before my wedding on 8/11/12. My best suggestion is to use Weight Watchers. It is easy and actually fun! I've had lots of success in the past! Good luck!
  • I agree with ronster... Use weight watchers!

I've lost 15lbs in a month. And I'm really happy. I'm allowing myself to eat things I want, but just in moderation... And I have control over what I eat again. It feels so much better.

    good luck! keep us updated!

  • Once you train your body to not rely on junk food it becomes much easier to follow a healthy diet. Don't cut everything out at once, but be aware of your portions and how many calories/fat that candy bar is compared to what you want to eat for the day, etc.

You can lose 50lbs in a safe and healthy manner in your time frame if you do 2lbs a week. Don't get discouraged if the weight comes off slower or you need to work harder after the first 10 or so.

I haven't tried WW before since my schedule is too varied for meetings, but the people who use it really seem to like it.

  • A few years ago I did WW and it didn't work for me. I don;t know why but it was awful.
Try joining a gym and doing group fitness class. I use myfitnesspal.com and its been good so far!

Weight Watchers is SOOO not expensive.  Especially if you do it online. I just have them take it out of my debit account automatically and is $16.99 a month if you do it online! AND you don't have to buy any special food or anything. It's just awesome tools and support! Good luck!
  • WW all the way!

  • I started exercising and eating healthier with help from a friend. He started a website about running to music where he's putting playlists for your ipod to run to and got me excited. He's also obsessed with low carb diets and generally eating healthy so I've been trying to stick to his suggestions. It's hard, but I'm starting to feel a difference.
