  • Yes, my fiance and I are doing p90x as well as insanity. It's pretty fun!

    Hi Lili!

    I think a lot of the ladies are in some respect.  Especially those with weight to lose since healthy, weight loss friendly meals for dinner = FI or H can't help but lose weight too.  

    My H has lost around 20lbs just because of the household food choices I make.

  • H and I generally work out together, or at the very least the same days (sometimes I'll do Insanity at home, while he runs at the gym).  I don't think I'd be nearly as motivated if I was trying to eat healthy and work out while he was sitting on the couch eating ice cream or something, it definitely helps to be working toward similar fitness goals.

  • Nope.  My fiance needs to actually eat really high-caloric foods so he often eats a lot more/differently than I do.

  • FI and I typically work out together. Post wedding though we will probably start working out separately..I'll be working toward a half-marathon and doing distance running and he's interested in trying high-intensity interval workouts.

  • We're both trying to lose weight/get healthy, but we have different ways of going about it.  I track calories and such on my fitness pal and go to the gym.  He's doing weight watchers and walking instead of taking the subway when he can.  I have more free time so it's easier for me to workout right now.

  • Fi and I work out together all the time... He doesn't eat as well as I do.... I wish he did only so I wouldn't be so tempted!   

    But then I get mad when he looses weight twice as fast as me hahaha.

  • Yes. FI is down 35lbs I am down 25 since Jan. Were both doing P90X (my 2nd round) and working on eating healthy. FI wouldnt eat a veggie to save his life, but I sneak thim in his food and he has cut out all soda, all most  all fried foods and fast food.  It is a work in progress :)

  • Sort of...

    I'm a lot more dedicated to the weight loss, I work out to some extent almost every day now and I track my food on myfitnesspal. My FI wants to lose weight but I have trouble getting him to exercise and he still on occassion will eat fast food (thankfully when I'm not around so I don't have to be around it). He's lost a couple of pounds, but he'd have a lot more success if he'd go to the gym with me on a regular basis and not just once every other week.

  • My fiance had a running routine well before even meeting me!   We work out seperately just because we have different fitness goals.

    He wants to maintain hsi current weight/running strength and I want to tone up and shed fat.  I have to watch what I eat ... him not so much, but he eats pretty heathly so any sweets that come into the house are my own doing.
  • My FI isn't trying to lose weight but he is always trying to put on muscle. Sometimes I go to his gym with him and lift. He helps me watch my form and is always showing me new stuff to do. It's fun :)

  • AshDreamer, I know exactly what you mean! I am 5'5" if I stretch a little and very petite framed. My fiance is 6 ft and kind of a bigger guy. He is dieting by skipping the sugar and cream in his coffee and choosing his breakfast sandwhiches on english muffins instead of croissants. And it works! Meanwhile I have to count every calorie. Every time we are out to dinner and he orders fries, chicken parm, ect I find myself stealing from his plate.

  • Yup, we started Sept 2011.  He is down roughly 33lbs and I am down roughly 13 or so.  We walk together normally.  We take turns on the treadmill and push each other to keep on it.  Its good to have him on board.  I'd hate to see him having chips while I have my apple and pb

  • I need to find a way to motivate my FI to eat healthier.  He's a vegetarian (which would make you think he's pretty healthy to begin with), but unfortunately he ends up eating carbs for breakfast, carbs for lunch and some more carbs for dinner.  Any ideas/suggestions?
