Getting in Shape

Calorie Counter websites

We have our second reception in about a month and since the wedding, I've put on a few pounds (a ton of leftover cake and not wanting to go to the gym).  I know that your metabolism will slow if you don't eat enough but I have no idea what my caloric intake number should be.  Can someone direct to a website that will give me a healthy calorie target?

  • SparkPeople or MyPlate.  I'm a big fan of MyPlate since it worked for me :)

Just be honest about your daily activity level.  "Moderate" means that you walk around often during the day and walk an average of 3 - 5 miles per week outside of your regular gym trip/exercise.  Since I was super paranoid that I picked the wrong activity level, I googled endlessly trying to find the definition of "moderate."
  • MyPlate has worked for me too. I like that it has restaurant foods too, including non chain local places. It really helps me keep on track.

  • myfitnesspal.com has worked great for me. They have just about any food you could cook up, order, or buy in their database already. very easy.
