Getting in Shape

Encouragement plz

Hiya ladies,

I just need a pick-me-up....somehow I fell off my workout routine and it's hard get back on track. This is the last week I'll have to do 10hr days at work, but it's finally taking a big ass toll on my workout schedule. I had a super busy weekend (moving furniture in, first guests at the new place the day after, mom and sister's b'days with dinner out, and trying to figure out how to pay for everything after one of FI's customers cancelled a job last minute which took a half week out of the paycheck...).  I've been stressing about all things wedding related and feeling guilty about missing my workout for 2days (with a half ass walk in between). I am making sure this weekend will be better, but I am dog tired and feel like I just don't have the energy to make it to the gym when I get home at 8pm. I have 6wks until we leave for HI for the big day, but I feel like I'm in a time warp where every hr feels like 2 days and I just won't have enough time to get everything done....just tell me everything will be ok, please. Thanks for listening and understanding

  • I wake up at 530am to get my workout in, and I feel like I get one thing checked off my list before the day even starts!  It's a huge burden lifted.  Not gonna lie- when that alarm first goes off I'm not happy, buit once I get going I'm glad I did!

It sounds like you're really doing the right thing. Your body is tired and needs to rest. In fact, when we get less than 7 hours of sleep, we can stall in weight loss. You will get back to your workout. Remember to enjoy the process!

  • Thanks so much ladies! this was just the pick me up I needed. I got some long overdue and much needed rest and I feel like a normal person again :-D

We did some hiking along the San Pablo shore (before the refinery fire thank goodness!) this weekend and it was wonderful.

I went for a dress fitting this past Friday and it was great. I went in with my corset and it turns out I've lost enough weight that I don't even need the corset anymore! Matter of fact, just in my regular workday bra and panties the dress was TOO BIG! I got see my seemstress today so she can measure me again in my strapless bra and spanx and take the dress IN AGAIN!. That was the BEST way to start my weekend ;-) AND I found out David Tuterra will be at Joann's Fabrics this Sat right down the road from me! Needless to say I'm going! Gonna ask him about my veil, I just wanna meet him, but I figured I should use this advantage while I got it lol. Thanks again for the encouraging words ladies, you are truly a blessing to this stressed but happy bride to be :-)

  • You're doing great!

Sounds like you need a little you-time. Try some yoga-I've found that not only is it an awesome workout, it's very relaxing. For however long you choose to do it (you can squeeze in a few minutes at home, or atake a 60- or 75-minute class at the gym), you're focusing only on your breathing and body movements. Not to mention, a big jump in sex drive ;) Good luck!
