Workout Accountability: Tuesday

Morning all!

I will go for a run today. I will go for a run today. I need to keep repeating this to myself so that I actually do it despite the rain.  Yesterday I lifted and then upped my resistance on the elliptical.  And today, I will go for a run. 

Hopefully you are all more motivated today!

  • Haha, I felt the same way today, Jude, so I made myself get up for a run this morning because I knew I wouldn't go otherwise.

    Got in a killer weight workout yesterday and went for a short run before work today.  I need a nap now.
    Anniversary
  • Something in the air today. My FI had to totally talk me into getting up this morning! I'm glad he did, I would have regretted missing the gym. This morning I did about 45 minutes on the treadmill - made it 4.25 miles!

  • Despite having to grocery shop after work, I still managed to make it to the gym yesterday. I did 15 minutes of weightlifting, crunches/stretching and then 15 minutes on the stairmaster and 25 minutes on the elliptical. I was originally going to do more on the elliptical but I felt like CRAP by the time I hit 20 minutes and just couldn't keep going past 25...I ate a protein bar before I went to the gym specifically so this wouldn't happen but I guess my body needed more fuel than that.

    Today is mostly a rest day, but I will probably try to get 30 minutes at least of light cardio later tonight.

  • Morning!  I took the day off of work today so it really feels like a Monday to me.

    This weekend was HARD - it was my shower weekend, and I had lots of family in town.  It was really hard to stay on track but I did the best I could.  

    Sunday I lifted shoulders & took spin.  Last night I lifted back & calves & did 30 minutes on the elliptical.  This morning I took a really hard spin class - 10 miles of hills!  

    I need to get my diet back on track starting today.  This weekend was a lot of alcohol, sugar, and other unhealthy choices.  It felt good today to get my day started right today.  
  • Last night I did only 30 min. on the elliptical because the gym was SO hot and humid. Later on I went bathing suit shopping (not my favorite thing to do!) and I found a bikini. That's the first time THAT'S ever happened.

    This morning I did 30ds and tonight is softball. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

  • Morning!

    I went to the gym last night kicking and screaming (figuratively in my head anyway)... if it wasn't for the reminder from my trainer that we had a session I might have skipped out. I think I had fallen into a gym workout routine rut and was getting bored, and my motivation started to wane. But last night we did some heavy lifting for back, shoulders, and chest and I felt good again.

    Since I trained late last night, my uppper body is feeling it today. Sore! Tonight after work I'll go for a run and then will lift for lower body. It's been a while since I've pushed around that much weight on the dumbbells (I've been in a circuit training frenzy). It's nice to know that, per the trainer's feedback, I can bring in 1-2 days of weight lifting. This makes me happy... at one point I was able to benchpress 175lbs (about a year ago). There is something about lifting weights that makes me feel so strong... and then I take that and apply it to life.

    On a total tangent, my trainer also friended me on MyFitnessPal... can we say accountability??? :-)

    Hit the gym for a bit last night myself. 20 mins of elliptical and 20 mins of weights. I'm hoping to get some gym time in tonight and tomorrow before I leave for FL for vacation Thr.

    I need the drive to be good while i'm in FL!

  • Hey everyone.  Ugh, yesterday was not good at all.  Got in a 20 minute walk at lunch before it started to rain, but then did nothing else the rest of the day.  Didn't even hit 8000 steps, which is probably the first time that's happened since I got the fitbit.  Way overdid it at dinner with a friend, too.  Indian food is my weakness, but is so unhealthy!

    Back on track today...hitting the gym tonight for a pilates class and then a bootcamp class, food is all planned out and I will be under my calories.  
  • Taking today off...this rain kept me in bed with my cats this morning so needless to say it was very hard getting out of bed! I really have not been eating much the past week or so...no reason, just not very hungry!! We also just booked our second honeymoon/FI 31st birthday celebration to Vegas a month after our first honeymoon, so am super excited! I have two softball games this week, plus I will be continuing my 6am gym time. 3 1/2 more months!

  • Hey everybody, I'm rather new but I'm gonna go ahead and jump in! I had a rough weekend with eating I couldn't stop myself but I did at least do the elliptical on saturday.  Yesterday I went back to my diet and did my 30 min video and whew jillian michaels just kicked my ass I'm sore today, guess I need to do it more often.. Today I have softball and I'll have time to kill between work and game so I may go walk or run around the lake... trying to stay motivated!
  • Morning -

    Had a rough time sleeping last night.  Was up from 2:30- 5:00 I had finally fallen back asleep when FIs alarm went off.   Told him to wake me when he came back from his run.   Luckily I got another hour of sleep in and managed to bike to work.   Hopefully my energy level is high enough to bike home tonight.

  • Today was my first day back to the gym in months.  I was expecting to be wiped out and hit that wall on the elliptical, but I never did.  I did 35 minutes on the elliptical, and pushed myself really hard the last few minutes before the cooldown.  I then did 10 minutes of stretching and 10 minutes of yoga.  
    I went from the gym to dinner, had healthy food, and carried my pseudo-godson for 20 minutes on my shoulders up a steep hill afterwards.  I'm so full of energy right now and I hope I still feel this great in the morning when I go back to the gym for day 1 week 1 of C25K.
