80lbs before the big day any tips

HI ladies and possibly gents, I have lost 115 lbs by myself and need to lose an addition 80. Which for your fyi I am still 285lbs, so no i am not trying to be unhealthy thin . Any one have any special tips or ideas for me. I work 40+ hours a week, go to school for 12 and I also have an adorable 3 yr old so my schedule is jam packed and I've hit a platue. At the moment I work out 4 times a day I have an abcircle pro, I have a veggie garden and I am walking/jogging and I have tried to cut out almost all carbs. Any extra positive advise would be swell.

  • You should start logging your food on My Fitness Pal or Spark People to see how much you are eating, and then go from there. I advise against cutting something out of your diet completely. Especially something like carbs.

  • Great work on losing 115lbs!!! That is amazing!  WOW!  I am curious as to why the next 80lbs wouldn't come off the same way the first 115lbs did.  You seem to know how to make it work.  But my advice is to try some HIIT- high intensity interval training.  It is a period of fast work out with small times of recovery.  @285 lbs it may be walking at a incline for 3 mins, recovery for 1 min and then repeat it over and over again.  If you are able to jog you can do it that way too.  My concern with cutting out carbs is as soon as you reintroduce them you will put weight back on.

I think Fitness Pal or Spark People is a great idea to really evaluate your food intake, but please please please don't forget about the amazing work you have already done in losing 115 lbs!  That is something to be sooo proud of!

I have no tips except to keep doing what you are doing. Losing 115 lbs is amazing! Congratulations! Oh. I guess I do have a tip to break the plateau. Intervals really jump start your metabolism and keep it going. Walk for 30 seconds then really power walk for 30 seconds. Or jog for 30 seconds then run full speed for 30 seconds. Do this for 5 minutes, eventually working your way up to 15 minutes. Smilesavy said basically the same thing. Just find the HIIT exercise you like best.
