36 Days to Go!!

Trying to slim down some n haven't a clue as to how to do it. I am trying to the no carb thing n its been goin okay I guess but I don't have the time to eat 3 meals a day let alone 6 what else can I do?? Really wanted to loose bout 30lbs. :(

  • Don't do "the no carb thing."  Carbs are GOOD.  We need them to support brain function and activity.  Also, carbs are in fruits and veggies.  Fruits and veggies are good for you.

    Anyway, you've missed the bus on 30 lbs, and you wouldn't want to lose that much at this point anyway.  I assume you have a dress htat you've started fittings on--you're not going to want to lose much at this point.  And if you HAVEN'T started fittings, then you need to.

  • This can't be real... I hope no one thinks this is possible without limb amputation or liposuction...

  • Don't completely cut out carbs, just eat them in moderation. What are your current eating habits? If you have bad habits, stop them right now. No soda, junk food, fast food, excess sugar or sodium, binge eating, etc. And drink your water if you don't already. I've lost close to 20lbs in just over 30 days. As soon as you wake up, have a glass or two of water and eat something for breakfast. I suggest raw foods...so, fruits/veggies. I always have a banana or an apple. Or, you can always do a bowl of oatmeal. At lunch time have a salad with the recommended serving size of dressing (that's where the calories come from). I know that for some people, salads can be boring. To spruce things up add in some nuts, dried cranberries, raisins, sprouts and whatever else you'd like. If you don't want to eat a salad, maybe some soup? Homemade would be best. And for dinner there's a lot of options. Just keep them healthy options! You can find tons of recipes on the net, even on youtube if you want to watch someone else prepare the food.

    You say you hardly have time to eat 3 meals a day...this is where planning ahead comes in. Prepare your salads ahead of time and store them in your refrigerator so you can just grab it and go. Buy some ziploc baggies and throw some snacks in them to take them with you for a mid day snack.

    And, of course exercise. The weight I have lost so far is just from eating healthier. I am just starting to add in exercise. I bought a Kinect for the Xbox 360 and there's a lot of fitness/dance games for it. I got a Zumba game. It's a lot of fun...if you're someone who doesn't like to go to the gym like me I recommend it. If you can't afford it, look into Zumba classes in your area. Or, any other kind of fitness class you would be interested in. Don't focus only on cardio, though. You also need to tone your body! Don't be afraid to lift weights because you're a girl...you won't end up looking like a body builder lol. Good luck.
