July 2012 Weddings

Huge sigh

We just booked a wedding planner. After purchasing almost everything we decided that we didnt want to do all the work of setting up, tearing down, and having the wedding run smoothly. The women is someone who goes to my fathers church and I also played softball with her husband. So relieved to know that Im not going to be in a big crazy rush with a DIY wedding!

Re: Huge sigh

  • Yay! That's awesome to hear.  I'm glad my venue come with a coordinator to do all of that work.

  • Well that is awesome!  We only have a little set up so it isn't so bad!  Will you still get to use all of your things?
  • Oh good!! From reading your title, I thought this was going to be something bad.

We'd love to have a wedding planner too but we decided it was just not in our budget. Yay for you!!!

  • Congrats on the check! I have to do a little set up for my ceremony but I'm keeping it simple.
  • Good idea!!! We have had one all along, mostly because I'm planning from a distance and it can be a challenge to get appointments and stuff set up, so she handles all of that. My mom encouraged us to hire her since she knew she'd feel pressured to do things I couldn't from a distance. I don't know that, in the end, we REALLY needed her, but we will definitely need her the day of!!! There is usually so much chaos and I don't want to be stressing out about who goes where, etc.

While helping us plan, she actually met another lady who is looking to become a wedding planner, so she's kind of taking her under her wing, and bringing her to our wedding to help out too lol So I kind of get two for the price of one for the day of!
