Weekend of Fail

I have no idea just how many calories I consumed yesterday or today.  I went to a party at a friend's house last night, where I snacked on chips for far too long.  Today, I went to a wedding that had a ton of food.  I honestly didn't do too badly in terms of meals, but the snacking and appetizers might have done me in.  I'm going to avoid the scale for a couple of days, drink a ton of water, and hope for the best.
Back to the grind tomorrow monring.  I'll be up far earlier than I want to be to bring my car to the shop.  After that, I'm walking to the gym and will have a great workout.

Re: Weekend of Fail

  • Don't beat yourself up.  You ate the stuff, I assume you enjoyed it, now move on.  There's nothing you can do, and it's not going to ruin what you've accomplished so far.  Yes, you'll probably be up a few pounds.  It's bloat.  It will be gone in a couple days--so your plan of avoiding the scale and drinking lots of water is a good one.  Just get back on track.

Never enjoying all the snacks at a party again would be a damn shame.  There is no harm in splurging every once in awhile.

  • You'll always have off days - just accept it and like you said, avoid the scale, get back on track and move on :)

  • Unless you are eating like this every day, don't worry about it.  It's not healthy to feel guilty every time you indulge a little.

  • Ughhh...this was so me over the weekend. Since I just broke the 3 month timeline, I feel like I am having to sprint for the finish line and my 3 day binge was not helpful. I guess we just need to pick it up today and try harder! :) You can DO it! :)
