Vegan Caterers in the Dallas area?!?

I am helping the bride plan her wedding and we are looking for a caterer that can handle creating an all vegan buffet style menu.  Anyone know any great ideas that are going to cost an arm and a leg?

I would contact several caterers to see if they can help you out.  So far as I know, none of our girls have used a caterer that specializes in vegan cooking.

Please don't think that I'm being disrespectful, but there are some who feel that it would be disrespectful to serve a vegan/vegetarian menu to people who don't subscribe to that method of food preparation.  Not all people like tofu, some are allergic to soy, etc.  Like I said, I'm not trying to be disrespectful and I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just saying.  Good luck to your friend!!!!

Have you tried looking at Spiral Diner? I know that they defiintely do Vegan cakes. They have one of the best vegan menus I have seen in the area. They have locations in Dallas and Fort Worth.

This- espcially older generations. My future SIL did this at their wedding and while I didn't mind at all (FI and I are mostly vegetarian)- I had to listen to FMIL and FFIL complain about this for pretty much the entire year. I know that it is your wedding and you can offer your point of view and the benefits of a vegan diet to your guests, but the bottom line is that you are still hosting. Just something to keep in mind :)

I want to say Two Sisters has that option??? When I was looking around I think I saw that.

I love V-Spot but not sure if they cater.  In response to what other posters have said, your guests should be fine with a vegan menu as long as it isn't heavy on the fake meat.  I find that that's the only thing people really tend to notice and complain about.  Just arrange for some nice, clean, veggie entrees and most people may not even notice there is no meat, and certainly won't miss it.  Good luck!

As a meat-a-terian, they might.  When I had my wedding, I made sure there was a vegetarian option even though none of my guests (that I knew of) were vegetarians.  What's wrong with having at least one chicken dish?  Plus, if there are children involved (small children who only eat chicken nuggets) or elderly who need protein (and again maybe are allergic to soy), as a host, you should be considerate of their dietary needs as well.

Two Sisters is close to my office and one of my lunch staples; sometimes take-home dinner when I am feeling rich ;-). Delicious food and they are very accommodating to dietary needs!

Most caterers should be able to help you with a menu. I would call around and ask them what they can do within your budget.
