Getting in Shape

help with dress.

I will be starting weight watchers May 1st. So I will have 11 months to lose as much weight as possible. I would over all like to lose about 80lbs but around 6065 for the wedding. I jumped the gun and bought my dress. I know I got way to excited. Well now I'm scared that if I loss the 60lbs. I will not beable to wear my dress.. will they beable to alter my dress enough that it still looks right? I'm freaking out now. I know I can loss the weight. I've already lost 40lbs. So I know I can do it.

Re: help with dress.

  • Hi and congrats on your success so far!

It all depends on your dress. Some styles are easier to alter than others, and the crucial point to alterations is not how much weight you lose on the scale but how many inches you lose. Take the dress to your local seamstres or bridal salon and see what they say.

Thanks ladies. My moh keeps telling me im crazy. She tells me im doing a great job to keep the good work up. One thing I do have in my favor is that its a corset back. So hopefully that works in my favor more.

  • I know and that's why I've lost 40 lbs already. I lost that weight before I was even engaged. So its not just for my wedding. I was just worried that because I already bought my dress if I lost to much Id have to buy a new dress. I've heard stories about women who lost so much they had to buy a whole new dress. But I absolutely love my dress and don't want to give it up.
