Hi again!

Hello lovely ladies,

I feel like I should re-introduce myself since it's been so long since I've spoken up. I'm mostly a lurker (geez, that sounds so creepy, LOL) but I've gotten lots of great information and tips from you ladies so far. I really appreciate it!

I've been engaged for a year and a half and I'm getting married in September. Up until a few weeks ago, FI and I were long distance but I just moved back to the area. Oh, boy has planning been a sprint since then!!!

I'm still on the market for a few vendors and things: photographer, hair and make-up artist, accesories (shoes, jewelry, etc)... Any good recommendations? (yes, I know to look on the sticky, but I've seen recommendations here that aren't on the sticky)

Thanks again for all your help, you ladies are great!

Re: Hi again!

  • Hi! Welcome back! What day are you getting married in September? I'm a September 22nd bride, myself. :)

Personally, we are using Stephanie Brazzle for photography, and she has been great so far! I would suggest doing your research on photogs as soon as possible though, as it may be harder to find a good one who is still available this late in the game. As far as accessories go, there are lots of good options on Etsy (at least for jewelry, hair, etc.) For shoes, it depends what you're looking for. I know a lot of girls have found great deals at DSW and Nordstrom's. I really wanted a specific vintage look, so I splurged and bought mine from BHLDN.

  • Angie Williams did hair/makeup for me, my mom, and most of my BP.  I know she's done other girls here, and she is just amazing.

My photographer was Stefanie Hampton Morrow (Hampton Morrow Photography).  I don't know anyone else on TK who has used her, but she was so fun to work with and our pictures still bring tears to my eyes.

And I got my shoes from Nina.

  • I got my shoes at Lewisvile Bridal boutique. I tried them on with my dress and loved them so we just did everything at once. they have amazing hair/sashes kind of accessories. Very one of a kind!
  • My wedding is on September 15th.

I'm getting a lot of, "of course I'm already booked on that date, what a question?" messages from photographers ... okay, fine. they don't exactly say that, but they might as well, LOL!

Thanks for the suggestions for far :)
  • I'm using Christina Truelove. A friend of ours used her last year, and my fiance had her present and snapping away when he proposed! This is her website:

  • I'm using Cindy and Saylor Photographers

As far as accessories I've found alot of cute stuff on Etsy.

I haven't decided on MUA yet but I'm leaning toward either Angie Williams or Tiffany Petry of Paper Dolls Makeup.

    Me tooooo!!! Which ones???
  • I met with two photographers yesterday and another two today.
Two I adored, one I liked, and one who was genuinely horrible - such a bigot! I was so offended and creeped out that I got out of there fast!

I'm meeting with a couple more photographers on Monday and Tuesday.

Then it's on to hair/make-up and florists! Hurray!

    Thanks again!
  • I am using Chaz Heed for my photographer.  He seemed nice when I met him and affordable.  He is so quick to respond to e-mails too, which I LOVE.  We are having my Bridal Portraits done on Wednesday.

My regular hair stylist is doing my hair, by I am having Belinda Gonzales do my make-up.  I heard about her from a teacher at the school I teach in.  Her website is Beauty by B or something like that.  She is super sweet, affordable and works at Lifetime Fitness as the Lead Esthetician.

My friend is doing my flowers, but currently she works at Z's Florist in Plano.  She does BEAUTIFUL work...and I am super picky about stuff, I didn't just hire her because she's my friend, but because she is so talented.  She is working on getting her own busniness together, but I TOTALLY recommend her.

BTW, I have been a lurker too lol.  I am just now posting to things.  :)
