Getting in Shape

is 60lbs in 18 months

is 60 lbs in around 16-17moths attainable?...i forget what the healthy weight loss per week is something like 1-2lbs a week?

Re: is 60lbs in 18 months

  • 2 pounds a week is what they recommond... No more than 3 or 4 for safe weight loss...

  • Typically 10% of your weight is what you should lose per week. So for most people that's 1-2lbs. 60lbs in a year and a half is totally doable if you stick with it or work hard! I'm sure you could do it in half that time!

  • I can say with 100% certainty that YES, 60lbs is doable in 16 months.

That's an average of about 3.75 a month.  If your goal weight isn't too low, you don't slack off, and you don't breakdown when you hit a plateau, you can do it.
  • Agree. 1-2lbs a week is healthy, although you may lose a bit more in the beginning.

What is your plan of attack?

  • You have a realistic goal. Even if you lost 1 Lb. a week; you'd reach your 60Lbs weight loss goal.

<div>Agree with 1-2 pounds per week. But this is NOT 10% of your weight unless you're only a few months old :-). There are 52 weeks in a year, so 1 pound per week would get you to your goal in a year and 2 months. Good luck!</div>

  • thanks the plan of attack is to actually eat, i have a habit where i only eat 1 meal a day because of my work i never have time to eat so i think my body is storing fat cause i cant eat 1200-1500 calories in 1 sitting
so the plan is to actually eat my 1200 calories per day of healthy non processed foods and work out
