Has anyone tried the Nutrasystem diet?

I just ordered it and I'm excited to get started. Have you had good results with it?

Re: Has anyone tried the Nutrasystem diet?

  • I didn't use it but had a friend do it in college.  She had wonderful and pretty quick results while on the program, and really enjoyed the meals.  She did have difficulty maintaining it afterward, though she has had this issue with many diet plans.
Be sure to really absorb what the program is teaching you through the meals, in terms of calorie and nutrient intake, so that you can make better decisions when not eating a pre-planned meal, too!

  • Lobster is dead right.

It's a great program and gives well balanced meals.  But if you don't learn how to create healthy meals for yourself while doing it, people will often gain weight after as they resume their old, poor eating habits.
  • Are you going to stay on it for your entire life? Because when you change your diet you either
    1. Make a life-long lifestyle change
It'll be successful for the long haul
    or
    2. Make it a temp thing to drop weight quickly
and you will gain it back.
  • I agree that if you don't stick with it, or at least the same sort of diet on your own, you will gain the weight back.  It works well with exercise.  My father started it on January 16th, and since then has lost 42 lbs.
