Workout Accountability: Thursday

Morning everyone!

Last night was a lifting night for me.  I decided not to up my weights this week, and just stick to the same weights/reps I was doing before I got sick.  It was definitely the right call, since my body is finally fully recovered from my cold.  I also did the elliptical for some cardio.

Tonight should be a 3-5 mile run.  Hopefully I don't cramp up like I did Monday.

How did everyone else do?

  • nice work ladies! Last night was realy productive in all avenues, not just the work out world. I got a good half hour of cardio in on the eliptical, and did my ab workout on the P90X... I was also able to do a load of laundry, run the dishwasher, and vacuum... which, since I got home late felt good.
  • Teeny workout last night.  Work is preventing me from getting to the gym.  If I could do mornings I definitely would!  Hopefully tonight!

  • I just did my first spin class this morning! It was hard getting up that early but I am so glad I don't have to dread the gym all day and go after work. The spin class was a great work out but I had a hard time keeping up because it was my first time. I hope I can improve!

    Maribeth- spin is awesome once you get past the sore butt & jello legs... glad you enjoyed your class :)

    I am feeling better this week, but I didn't want to push it too hard too quickly- so I did yoga this morning & I'm feeling quite refreshed.  I may go back & lift this evening but it depends on my work load today.  I'm just glad I dragged my lazy butt out of the house at 5am and finally got a work out done!
  • I'm really trying to increase my running pace, so I've decided to institute "time trial Thursday" and time my mile every Thursday.  Today will be my first day, so I'll be setting my starting point.  (This was supposed to be time-trial Tuesday, but Tuesday was rainy and freezing so I didn't run).
  • Did Jillian Mochaels last night.. and just got home from spin class for today!  Keep up the good work girls!!
  • Yesterday I did strength training at home. No workout today due to taking final exam after work. Yay...I'm free until Jan. 9th!

  • Took a semi day off today, and I say semi because I did walk for 30 min at lunch just for some movement. Its tough sitting in training all day :-)

    Hope everyone is well! Tomorrow is Friday, yay!! :-)
