Workout Accountability: Wednesday

Morning, this week is dragging...

I was pretty annoyed at the gym last night.  It was so crowded that finding a bench was a near impossible feat.  I managed to get one, but of course it was one that wasn't adjustable, so I just skipped doing my incline press with dumbbells.  I did increase my weight or reps for all my other exercises though.  I also did 40 mins on the elliptical. 

Tonight is a 3-5 mile run.  Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the faster pace I ran on Monday.

How's everyone else feeling this morning?

  • Jude- good for you at least getting some weights in!  I dread going to the "other" side of the gym with all the grunting, sweating, huffing & puffing, hulk-like men over there.  It's SCARRRRRYYYY!

    I did my Body Shape class last night but I skipped spin this morning :(  I'm ready for this week to be over!

    I started the 30 day shred last night. I think Jillian may be trying to kill me. Haha.
    I made it about halfway through before I skipped to cool down. I worked out until I literally could not stand anymore - my knees were noodles!

    Today I'm really feeling it, my shoulder muscles are sore and I can barely walk. My knees feel like jelly and ALL my leg muscles are super stiff! Not sure I can do a day 2 of the full workout, but I really loved the ab sets so I think I'm just going to do those.

    Did 35 minutes on the elliptical last night and then only 15 mins of weight lifting - my whole body was still pretty sore from doing free weights on Monday night so I just took it easy.

    I'm also annoyed that my gym only has 7 ellipticals and right now 3 of them are "out of order" - they have about 15 treadmills, I think it's time to get another elliptical! (soo irritating because every single time I go to the gym now I have to wait for an elliptical)

  • Medi,  I generally get a chuckle out of all the sound effects that some of the guys like to generate during weight-lifting. 

    lbarr, glad you're starting to feel better.  Hair cuts always put me in a good mood.  Good luck on your run tonight!

    entropic, I'm right there with you on the gym annoyances.  Don't they know our workouts are wayyy more important than theirs??! Wink

  • Zumba this afternoon! But then ate a twix bar so... I guess it at least balanced out hahaha

  • Did my Level 2 of 30 day shred. Looking forward to going to Hawaii for a week on Sunday. I can't bring my laptop with my to play my workout DVD, anyone have any tips for what I could do in Hawaii to keep my exercising on track?

  • I love this idea! Of having an accountability forum posts!
    I tell myself daily to excersise and somehow i get lazy and don't.
    I am a dog trainer, so am on my feet ALL day and am walking and doing other things all day but i do need to set aside time for excersise and strength building.
    It is now 10:30 in Cali and i will start tomorrow and use these posts as my reminder and way to keep myself too it.
