Sparklers

I want to have my guest light sparklers after we do the receiving line (since our venue doesn't allow them) but my planner says guesgtg won't wait till we are finished greating everyone.  I really want the sparklers what do you think?  Any suggestions?

We are thinking about doing sparklers since our venue doesn't allow alot of the traditional stuff like rice, confetti, etc.  We are planning to give them out at the reception and folks can light them in the evening for our big send off! If you're worried about some of the kids getting excited and lighting them early, you can always have extras on hand since sparklers are relatively inexpensive.
