When I began working for the state almost 3 years ago, I never expected to meet my soul mate at the same time. From the first time we started dating until now we have been inseparable. Over the years, I’ve always received comments from others like how can you work with your fiancé? Don’t you guys get tired of each other? And my response is always NO!!! People do not understand the bond that we share. I wouldn’t have it any other way. You are not just my husband to be but my best friend, my lover and my biggest supporter. I can tell you anything and I know you will not judge me nor discourage me from what I’m planning to do. I love your sense of humor and how you can make me laugh from some of the craziest stories that you have or the jokes that share even if I heard them numerous times. I love how you put our son and me before anything and how you go above and beyond for us. I love how we can watch basketball games on TV or go to Madison Square Garden with all the other crazy Knick fans and lose our voice from all the yelling and excitement of the game. But I do need to make it clear that I’m a knick fan but a Carmelo Anthony fan. I could stand here all day and talk about all the great qualities that you behold, for these are the reasons why I fell in love with you. You are truly the definition of a good father, friend & husband.
Before all our friends and family, I promise to always to be respectful, loving, & understanding. I know that our relationship will not always be perfect and we will have our ups and downs. But I promise to work through the hard times and to be supportive. I know that it is no longer I, but we. I will always put our marriage before anything.
