need a little advice!

My bridesmaid told me to write my vows, seal them and dont open them until the day OF the wedding!? -___- kinda makes me nervous because I am terrible when it comes to public speaking. Is it okay to rehearse your vows? she said when you dont rehearse them they sound more from the heart? HELP! :)

Are you wanting to try to memorize them? In that case, yes, you would have to rehearse. If you and FI don't mind reading them, just write them out. I wouldn't worry about sealing them - unless you have some other personal reason to do so. Between now and the wedding you may think of a better way to say something, so totally feel free to edit them whenever you want!

I think I'm going to handwrite them on a long strip of paper, kind of like a scroll. I know I will read them many times to myself just so I feel confident that they really convey what I feel, and to get the intonation right - I really don't want to stumble over my words when reading my vows in front of everyone :)

And I don't think any of us will have a problem with our vows not sounding like they come from the heart. I think writing your own vows really ensures they are personal and unique! Even if they are shared or the more common vows, people will be able to see your expression and hear how you speak when you repeat them. There should be absolutely no doubt they are heartfelt!
